Hydril Receives Order From Diamond Offshore

Hydril Company announced it has received another order for the purchase of a blowout preventer multiplex control system from a subsidiary of Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. Delivery of the system will be in 2003 for use within the Diamond Offshore fleet of rigs. Chris Seaver, president and CEO of Hydril Company said "This is the third deepwater blowout preventer multiplex control system Diamond Offshore has ordered from Hydril since the third quarter of last year. We are pleased to be selected to assist Diamond in their on-going program to upgrade their deepwater fleet of rigs."


ECO Fleet to be Outfitted with Autoload

Autoship Systems Corporation announced that Edison Chouset Offshore LLC (ECO) of Galliano, LA, USA has chosen to have their offshore fleet of vessels outfitted with the Autoload onboard stability program. “The delivery of the Autoload software will be a staged roll-out for the ECO fleet. The initial install is set for 68 of the latest-delivered and soon-to-be delivered vessels. Staging after this group will be the remainder of the ECO deepwater fleet, inclusive of PSVs


Vroon Offshore Services Take Delivery of VOS Theia

 Vroon Offshore Services (VOS) have taken delivery of a new addition to their offshore fleet. The VOS Theia, a 1,400 dwt anchor handling tug support (AHTS) vessel built at the Fujian Shipyard in China, was delivered today, 18 April 2011, in China. The vessel will operate out of Singapore and will be managed by Vroon Offshore Services Pte Ltd. This vessel is an upgrade on our "H"-class vessels, in terms of dynamic positioning.   


N-KOM Lays Keel for Qatar’s First Liftboat

Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine (N-KOM) has achieved another milestone with the keel laying of its first liftboat newbuild project, awarded in July 2014 by long-time client Gulf Drilling International (GDI). The project marks the shipyard’s first foray into the offshore jack-up newbuild market and is also the first such project to be undertaken in Qatar. Once completed in 2015, the liftboat will support GDI’s growing offshore fleet of jack-up rigs.


10,850-HP AHTS Joins Seabulk Offshore Fleet

The Seabulk Offshore group of companies last week added a new UT-710 Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessel (AHTS) to its fleet, making the 226-ft. Seabulk South Atlantic the fifth newbuild vessel in Seabulk's 2003 fleet renewal program. Built by Brevik Construction AS in Norway, the 10,850-hp Seabulk South Atlantic joins the Seabulk fleet on a five-year bareboat charter agreement that includes a purchase option at the end of the contract. RS Expands Participation in Offshore Projects

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) is to undertake ship construction survey for the Lukoil Group. This project follows the RS effective cooperation with one of the major RF oil companies in developing offshore hydrocarbon resources. RS has signed contracts for the whole range of classification and statutory services under the construction of an offshore salvage ship by Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd in Singapore and two offshore support vessels by Keppel Nantong in China

  Shipowner and operator, Swire Pacific Offshore Operations (Pte) Ltd (SPO) celebrated the naming and delivery of its third L Class PSV vessel, Pacific Legend in Kyoto, Japan on Tuesday, 30 September 2014.   Graced by Lady Sponsor, Amanda Butt, the naming ceremony was held at Japan Marine United Corporation (JMU)’s Maizuru Shipyard and attended by guests, partners and employees of JMU and SPO.  


NAVTOR Signs E-Navigation Agreement with DOF

E-navigation specialist NAVTOR has signed a landmark fleet agreement with DOF Management, the owner and operator of 78 advanced offshore service vessels. The deal will see NAVTOR’s innovative and user-friendly ENC service rolling out across DOF’s high-end CSVs, PSVs and AHTS vessels [Construction Support Vessels (CSVs), Platform Support Vessels (PSVs) and Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels (AHTS)], which operate in all key oil and gas regions worldwide.


Ultra-Deepwater Drillship Order for Korean Yard

QGOG Constellation S.A. exercise a Samsung Heavy Indurstries contract option for an advanced capability DP3 drillship. This will be the third drillship ordered from SHI in South Korea and is scheduled to be delivered in December 2014. The unit will have advanced capabilities to meet the requirements of ultra-deepwater drilling in water depths of up to 12,000 feet and a total vertical drilling depth of 40,000 feet, based on the proprietary Samsung 12000 hull

GE Shipping Buys New Vessel

 The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) signed a contract to buy a Supramax Dry Bulk Carrier of about 52,450 dwt.    The 2006 built vessel is expected to join the Company’s fleet in Q1 FY18.

Marco Polo Marine Revenue Drops for Q1

 Marco Polo Marine Group  Group recorded a revenue of S$11.4 million in Q1FY2017, a decrease of 33% from that of S$17.0 million in Q1FY2016.   Relative to Q1FY2016, the Ship Chartering Operations’ revenue of the Group decreased by 31% to S$4.4 million in Q1FY2017

DOF Bags Contracts from Asco and Eni

 Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF has been awarded charter contracts for a platform supply vessel (PSV) and an anchor handling tug supply vessel (AHTS).   DOF said on Wednesday that the company won a two-year firm contract plus options with Asco Marine for the Skandi Aukra PSV.
