SEACOR SMIT Changes Name to SEACOR Holdings Inc.

SEACOR SMIT Inc. announced that the change of its name to "SEACOR Holdings Inc." became effective at 12:01 a.m. on March 15, 2004. The ticker symbol and CUSIP number for the Company's common stock will remain unchanged. Holders of stock certificates bearing the name "SEACOR SMIT Inc." may continue to hold them and will not be required to exchange them for new stock certificates or take any other action. In addition, the Company's Internet website URL will change to http://www.seacorholdings.com. SEACOR and its subsidiaries are engaged in the operation of a diversified fleet of offshore support vessels that service oil and gas exploration and development activities in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, the North Sea, West Africa, Asia, Latin America and other international regions. Other business activities primarily include environmental services, inland river operations, and offshore aviation services.


Seacor Smit Announces Third Quarter Results

Seacor Smit Inc. announced net earnings for the third quarter ending Sept. 30 of $5 million on revenues of $71.9 million. Results for the quarter included a charge of $2.6 million for additional income tax expense related to the company's decision to liquidate a foreign joint venture, and an extraordinary gain of $890,000 relating to the early retirement of debt. In the same period a year ago, Seacor earned $26.4 million, on revenues of $100 million.


Seacor Annonces Executive changes

SEACOR Holdings Inc. (NYSE: CKH) announced that Randall Blank, currently SEACOR's Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Secretary, will assume full-time responsibility as President and CEO of its environmental division, SEACOR Environmental Services Inc. ("SES"), and that Richard Ryan will assume the position of Chief Financial Officer for SEACOR. Alice Gran, SEACOR's Senior Vice President and General Counsel, will become Corporate Secretary.


SEACOR Marine Chooses MTU engines

SEACOR Marine has selected marine diesel engines from the Tognum brand MTU for its latest pair of fast supply vessels.   The two vessels, SEACOR Lynx and SEACOR Leopard, will have an overall length of 190 feet and the capacity to carry up to 150 passengers. The vessels will also have the capacity to carry 150 tons of deck cargo and the ability to achieve speeds of 46 knots.    Each vessel will be powered by four MTU 16V 4000 M73L engines rated at 3,860 bhp at 2,050 RPM.


SEACOR Declares Spin-Off Dividend of SEACOR Marine Shares

SEACOR Holdings Inc. and SEACOR Marine Holdings Inc. announced the timing and details regarding the spin-off of SEACOR Marine from SEACOR. The SEACOR board of directors has declared a pro rata dividend of the shares of SEACOR Marine common stock owned by SEACOR that will result in the complete legal and structural separation of the two companies. On the distribution date of June 1, 2017, SEACOR will distribute to its stockholders of record as of 5:00 p.m


SEACOR Marine Holdings Begins Trading on NYSE

SEACOR Holdings Inc. has announced the completion of the spin-off of SEACOR Marine, finalizing the transition to SEACOR Marine’s status as an independent public company. Until this point a subsidiary of SEACOR, SEACOR Marine attained full independent status yesterday, June 1, 2017. SEACOR Marine begins “regular-way” trading on NYSE today under the symbol “SMHI”.

US Tanker Liberty Sails for Sea Trials
