Topaz Selects ABS Fleet Management Software

Offshore support vessel company Topaz Energy and Marine has selected ABS as its fleet management software provider.   Topaz will install the ABS Nautical Systems Fleet Management Software suite on 58 of its core vessels to more efficiently plan for maintenance work, minimize downtime and reduce costs associated with drydocking.   René Kofod-Olsen, Chief Executive Officer of Topaz Energy and Marine, said, "We took a substantial amount of time to select the correct fleet management system. It was imperative to select a company that not only has a proven solution in the maritime industry but offers user-friendly products and a fully integrated solution that aligns with our company objectives. Seabulk Selects ABS-NS SafeNet

Seabulk Offshore Ltd., has selected ABS Nautical Systems SafeNet fleet management system for 14 supply, crew and utility boats operating in the US Gulf of Mexico. Cummins Awards ABS ERO Status for Diesel Engine Certification Worldwide

Cummins Inc. has selected ABS as a Recognized Organization for engines (ERO). In that role ABS will be able to issue Engine International Air Pollution Prevention Certificates (EIAPP) to Cummins machinery for compliance with IMO’s MARPOL Annex VI NOx Technical Code governing NOx emissions of ship based diesel engines with power output over 130 kW. US-built Liquefied Gas Barge Delivered

Harvest, an ABS-classed articulated tug barge (ATB) purpose-built to transport liquefied anhydrous ammonia, has been delivered to a subsidiary of Savage Companies by U.S. shipbuilder Vigor.    Harvest is the first complex liquefied ammonia transport barge built in the U.S. since 1982.
