Built at the Cantier Navali Vittoria, a well known shipyard in Adria Italy, the trawler Profeta is fishing in the Adriatic out or her home port of Chioggia. With a 65-year history the builders are noted for having built over 300 vessels including tugs, trawlers, fast civil and military craft as well as dredgers, tankers and RoRo passenger ferries as well as yachts. Designed by naval architect Giorgio Damiani, the handsome 25.8 x 6.15-meter vessel is equipped with a bulbous bow and bow thruster.

Her owner, Zennaro, specified a robust Cummins KTA50M2 for her main engine. Generating 1600 HP continuos duty at 1800 RPM, the engine is coupled to a Reintjes WAF 663 gear with a 6:1 ration and turning a 2150 mm. propellor. The auxiliaries are also Cummins, in this case 105 KVA generator powered by a 6BT5.9D(M). She has tankage for 45,000 liters of fuel and 2,000 liters of water. Accommodation is provided for eight crew members.
