Maersk Line Orders Nine Boxships in $1.1 bln Deal

Maersk Line, the world's largest container shipping company, said on Wednesday it has ordered nine 14,000 twenty-foot equivalent units vessels from Hyundai Heavy Industries in a deal worth $1.1 billion.

The vessels will join the fleet in 2017 under a Singaporean flag, said Maersk Line, a unit of the A.P. Moller-Maersk  conglomerate.
