ONGC bags Dun & Bradstreet Corporate Excellence Award - 2014

ONGC was honored with the prestigious corporate award – ‘The Dun & Brandstreet Corporate Excellence Award’ for its stellar management and leadership on May 28,2014. ONGC received the award for excellence in the Oil and Gas Production sector. Mr A K Jain, Executive Director, Chief- Offshore Engineering Services, received the award on the behalf of the organization.
 
In all, there were 46 sectors which were recognized for their excellence and these were chosen among the top 500 companies of India, by the primary yardstick of their contribution to India’s GDP. These 500 companies contribute to over 20 percent of the nation’s GDP and are the pillars of economic progress of the country.

The award was handed over to Mr.Jain by Mr V B Nandakumar, MD and CEO of Mannapuram Finance in the presence of Former Union Minister and eminent media person Mr Arun Shourie and Mr Kaushal Sampat, President and CEO of Dun and Bradstreet- India Chapter.

The award comes close on the heels of yet another recognition where ONGC once again featured in the list of the Most Admired Companies in the Oil and Gas Sector (at 7th rank) in the rankings released by the Fortune- Worlds Most Admired Companies-2014.

ONGC shared the podium with leading corporate houses of India like Tata Steel, TCS, GAIL, HDFC, Grasim, SKF Bearings, RIL, NMDC, M&M, Bajaj, MRF and many others.
