Coatings manufacturer Carboline has reopened its St. Louis research and development center after the facility recently received several upgrades.

Attended by company President and COO Chris Tiernay, Brentwood City Mayor Chris Thornton and 125 St. Louis based employees, the grand reopening included a ribbon cutting ceremony, tours of the newly updated facility and a company luncheon.

“This grand reopening signifies Carboline’s commitment to innovation in the coatings industry,” Tiernay said. “We are very proud of our world-class research and development facility that allows us to develop industry changing products and technology.”

The event also kicks off a series of yearlong celebrations for the company’s 70th anniversary.
