Hiab, part of Cargotec, is presenting its latest product innovations together with the World Crane Championship finals at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, UK on 14-16 April. The CV Show is the largest and most comprehensive road freight transport event staged in Britain.

We welcome all interested parties to watch Hiab's World Crane Championship finals, which will take place on our outside stand number 3A 80 (outside Hall 4). The Hiab team and our latest product innovations are also at our indoor stand, 5F 101 (Hall 5).

Hiab highlights at the CV Show

Hiab is sponsoring the very first World Crane Championships, the finals of which take place on 15 April. The WCC final is set to be one of the main highlights of the CV Show. The 18 contestants, who have won their places after qualifying through rounds held in 13 different countries, will be competing to take away a EUR 25,000 prize. To prove they have what it takes, those competing for the title of World Crane Champion will manoeuver a HIAB X-HiPro 192 through a series of obstacles, trying to beat a time set by the anonymous crane pro 'Eric'.

"We are delighted that the world's best crane drivers are coming together to compete on the world's most advanced cranes. Excitement about the coming finals is high and we know that the competitors have trained hard during the last months. I am personally looking forward to meeting the competitors and watching the final - taking the title of World's Best Crane Operator will for sure be a very tough competition!" comments Carl Gustaf Göransson, Senior Vice President, Sales and Markets.

MOFFETT truck mounted forklifts will start the celebration of their 70th anniversary at the CV Show. Founded by Cecil Moffett in 1945 in Ireland, the company began as a small engineering workshop which then turned to a global leading business when in 1986 the company launched the first MOFFETT Mounty, a compact 3-wheeled forklift truck that could be transported on the back of almost any delivery truck or trailer. This meant that goods could be transported much faster and more cost effectively.

In the CV Show MULTILIFT will also give a first preview of its new generation skiploader, MULTILIFT Futura, which will be launched later this spring. The new skiploader has over 100 smart innovations, including features that are totally new to the market, like FlexControlTM which gives a freedom to customise the skiploader, and SkipTopTM which covers any load with a touch of a button. The completely redesigned EvoLightTM steel construction gives 300-500 kg more payload, meaning that the customer can haul more while saving fuel and reducing CO2 emissions. Innovations such as hydraulic side stops, hydraulic container lock and precise controls ensure the safety which is paramount for MULTILIFT.
