As is tradition, Detyens Shipyards hosts an annual Thanksgiving feast at the shipyard for its workers, the occasion used to also distribute the annual performance bonus checks for every employee. Per Maritime Reporter & Engineering News’ recent interview with D. Loy Stewart, Jr., owner of Detyens Shipyards, this year’s bonus pool provided each worker with the equivalent of approximately six weeks of pay.
