New Dive Support Vessel Delivered to ADNOC

The United Arab Emirates' Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has taken delivery of ADNOC MD 01, the first in a series of two new dive support vessels.The aluminum catamaran was designed by Canadian naval architects Robert Allan Ltd. and built by Grandweld Shipyards in Dubai for local diving operations in the UAE.ADNOC MD 01 and its to-be-delivered sister vessel were designed and constructed to the following notation: BUREAU VERITAS 1 āœ  HULL ā€¢ MACH, SPECIAL SERVICE, FAST DIVING SUPPORTā€¦

ADNOC L&S Adds Five New Very Large Gas Carriers to Fleet

United Arab Emirates' ADNOC Logistics & Services (ADNOC L&S) has expanded its fleet with the deployment of five new-build Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGC), state news agency WAM reported on Thursday.The carriers of the shipping and maritime logistics arm of state oil giant Abu Dhabi National Oil Company each have a capacity of 86,000 cubic metres. The carriers were built at Jiangnan Shipyard in Shanghai, China, and will be owned and operated by AW Shipping, an ADNOC L&S joint venture with Wanhua Chemical Group (Wanhua), WAM added.

UAE's ADNOC Delivers First LNG to German Floating LNG Terminal

German utility RWE's trading arm received its first cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at Brunsbuettel port from Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) on Wednesday, saying the gas will be fed into to onshore pipelines from the end of this month.The cargo was delivered on the vessel ISH to the floating LNG terminal "Hoegh Gannet" at Brunsbuettel. VTTI Plans New 5 bcm Floating LNG Platform in Netherlands by 2024

Dutch energy company VTTI said on Monday it plans to build a new floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in the Netherlands with capacity to import 5 billion cubic meters of gas annually. China is making fast inroads in the market for newbuild liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers as local and foreign shipowners turn to its shipbuilders for the specialty vessels because long dominant yards in South Korea are fully booked. Three Chinese shipyards - only one of them having experience building large LNG tankers - won nearly 30% of this year's record orders for 163 new gas carriers, claiming ground in a sector where South Korea usually captures most of the business.

Thordon Bearings said Monday that its water-lubricated elastomeric polymer bearings have been  installed to well pumps aboard an undisclosed offshore oil platform operated by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).Five KSB three-stage mixed flow impeller-type pumps were each retrofitted  with Thordon pump bearings - 13 SXL intermediate bearings, four Composite bearings and a single SXL throttle bearing -  replacing the  original silicon carbide bushes, the company said.Dubai-based engineering firm Ocean Power International (OPI)ā€¦

Supertankers Waiting to Load Murban Crude After Floods Shut Fujairah

At least four supertankers are waiting to load Murban crude off Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates a week after floods shut operations at the oil hub, according to trade sources and shipping data on Refinitiv Eikon.Last Thursday, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) said it had shut down its operations at Fujairah terminal due to "exceptional rainfall".The company had said it would divert Fujairah terminal oil lifting to the Jebel Dhanna terminal which can handle Murban shipments.However, supertankers are still waiting off Fujairah and it remains unclear when loading will resume, according to the sources and Refinitiv data.Twoā€¦

Prysmian Group Wins MidEast Submarine Cable Contract

Prysmian Group entered into a Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) for the supply of power cables in the context of a landmark  HVDC submarine cable project in the Middle East, worth around $252m. ADNOC Weighs IPO of Logistics, Marine Services, and Shipping Unit

ADNOC L&S Adds Two More VLCCs to Its Fleet

ADNOC Adds Six VLCCs

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) revealed Thursday that its shipping arm ADNOC Logistics & Services (ADNOC L&S) has added six very large crude carriers (VLCC) to its fleet as the UAE sate energy company expands production and moves further into trading.Two of the tankers were purchased from Norwegian owner Hunter Group in 2020, delivered in December and are already operating, and one was purchased this week and will be joining the UAE shipowner's fleet shortly. The other three ships (plus options) are newbuilds scheduled for delivery from South Korea's Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in 2022 and 2023."Given recent market conditions, we were able to purchase both existing and newbuild vessels at competitive prices," said Capt. Abdulkareem Al Masabi, CEO, ADNOC L&S.

Seabed Geosolutions Sells OBC System

Seabed Geosolutions, the provider of comprehensive ocean bottom seismic (OBS) solutions to the global oil and gas industry, has signed a contract to sell the entirety of its shallow water ocean bottom cable (OBC) recording equipment.The joint venture between Fugro and CGG said that the equipment was used on a recently completed project for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company in the United Arab Emirates. EGPC Leads Oil, Gas Discoveries in Q3 2019

Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) led globally among companies in the third quarter (Q3) 2019 in terms of the highest number of oil and gas discoveries, said GlobalData.Of the total 38 discoveries made worldwide, EGPC had four, all being onshore discoveries. Of these, three were conventional oil discoveries while the remaining was a conventional gas discovery, said a report from GlobalData.Soorya Tejomoortula, Oil and Gas Analyst at GlobalData, explained: ā€œOf the three conventional oil discoveries made by EGPC in Q3 2019, two are in the Western Desert Basin and the remaining is in the Gulf of Suez Basin.
