LRAD Receives $700,000 International Coast Guard Order

LRAD Corporation, provider of long range acoustic hailing devices (AHDs), received a $700,000 order for LRAD 300X systems for installation on international coastal patrol boats currently under construction. Shipments under the order are scheduled to begin this quarter and continue as the patrol boats are delivered for deployment over the next 12 months. "Coast Guard services around the world are experiencing increasing territorial water incursions and homeland security threats," said Tom Brown, president and CEO of LRAD Corporation. The LRAD 300X is a low profile, lightweight AHD designed for use on small vessels, security and defense vehicles, and remote weapon stations.

LRAD Get Navy Acoustic Hailer Contract

US Department of Defense, Navy,  awards LRAD Corp. of San Diego, a US$12,231,360 order for its products. The firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract is for for small, medium and large acoustic hailing devices, mounts, test teardown and evaluation, provision item order spares, and data. Small, medium and large acoustic hailing devices will be used by the Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection Afloat Program Office (PMS 480) and/or other Department of Defense Activities. Acoustic hailing devices will be used in support of large and small deck naval surface ships, submarines, security boats, shore security operations and others as warning devices employed in anti-terrorism/force protection missions.

LRAD Corporation Receives LRAD 300X Order

LRAD Corporation (NASDAQ: LRAD), a provider of long range acoustic hailing devices (AHDs), has announced  it has received a $323,000 order for LRAD 300X systems and support equipment. The LRAD 300X systems will be installed on Colombian Navy coastal defense patrol boats. LRAD Corporation Awarded $1.4 Million Order

LRAD Corporation (Nasdaq:LRAD), a  provider of long range acoustic hailing devices (AHDs), has announced it has been awarded a $1.4 million LRAD-RX systems order from an Asian company for commercial maritime shipping security installations. The LRAD-RX is the only remotely controlled AHD to have passed rigorous U.S. Navy testing and to be deployed on U.S. Navy vessels. "Piracy and terrorist threats remain a significant concern for commercial vessels transiting high risk shipping lanes," stated Tom Brown, president and CEO of LRAD Corporation. 'Get to High Ground' Tsunami Warning Contract

LRAD Corporation. provider of long range acoustic hailing devices (AHD's) wins Tsunami warning contract from an Asian city port. The company has received a US$369,000 LRAD 360X order for an earthquake and tsunami warning mass notification installation in an Asian port city. The order resulted from an earlier successful trial installation. The LRAD 360X is the newest system in the Company's proprietary Long Range Acoustic Device® (LRAD®) product line. The LRAD 360X broadcasts powerful emergency/warning sirens and highly intelligible multi-language voice messages in a 360° pattern over distances up to 2 miles. Navy Installs First Onboard Ship Protection System to Thwart Terrorist Attacks

The Navy will field the first Shipboard Protection System (SPS) aboard a naval surface combatant this month. The SPS equips the ship’s commander with organic tools to rapidly assess asymmetric threats and defend against terrorist attacks like the one that severely damaged the USS Cole in 2000. Ultimately, most U.S. naval surface vessels will have an SPS onboard to provide integrated anti-terrorism/force protection capabilities while operating in littoral waters, such as foreign or domestic ports, restricted waterways, and coastal areas, where naval ships might be attacked by terrorist.
