Shipowner Spliethoff, AEGIR‐Marine Partner on Fleet Stern Tube Service

Dutch shipowner Spliethoff and AEGIRMarine signed an agreement for the supply the stern tube sealing parts and services for Spliethoff’s fleet.According to its website, Spliethoff is a century-old company that operates a fleet of more than 50 Dutch flagged, 1A ice-classed, multipurpose vessels, ranging from 12,000 to 23,000 DWT.AEGIR‐Marine is a service‐centric stern tube seal producer and service provider. "With our seven regional offices, our service engineers are always close to the action and ready to attend any dry dock within the required time frame,” said Tom Faassen, AEGIR‐Marine.

AEGIR-Marine Partners with On Site Alignment

AEGIR-Marine and On Site Alignment (OSA) signed a contract at SMM in Hamburg confirming the companies’ strategic alliance concerning stern seal and propulsion service and the alignment of propulsion shafting and bearings of seagoing vessels. AEGIR-Marine CEO, Ruud Muis, said, “Since AEGIR-Marine is a service organization, we aim to offer total solutions to our customers. The wear and durability of stern tube seal and bearings are closely related to the proper alignment of the propulsion system.

RSC Bio Solutions, AEGIR-Marine Begin EAL Partnership

AEGIR-Marine and RSC Bio Solutions recently signed a partnership confirming their collaboration concerning stern tube seals running on readily biodegradable lubricants under U.S. EPA Vessel General Permit (VGP) restrictions. AEGIR and RSC Bio Solutions will adopt joint responsibility for the combined performance of the AEGIR-Marine PRIME Seals with the readily biodegradable EnviroLogic lubricants made by RSC Bio Solutions.
