Aker Solutions Sign UK Continental Shelf Frame Agreement

Aker Solutions secures a 5-year frame agreement to execute contracts acrossTalisman Sinopec Energy UK Ltd's offshore brownfield projects. Although the contract contains no firm spending commitment, the anticipated multi-million pound agreement cements the long standing relationship between the two organisations. With a significant pipeline of projects within Talisman Sinopec Energy UK Ltd's portfolio, today's announcement reinforces Aker Solutions' strategic objective of growing its business in the UK.

Aker Solutions Secures Contract with Total E&P UK Ltd

Aker Solutions has secured a three year contract to provide operations and maintenance services to Total E&P UK Ltd and its joint venture partner DONG E&P (UK) Ltd at the new Shetland Gas Plant (SGP). The agreement includes provision of operations, maintenance and services support personnel for Total E&P UK at the new gas plant, which will receive gas from the Laggan and Tormore fields, west of Shetland. The contract is valid for three and a half years with an optional two year extension. It will see the creation of up to 150 positions in support of the contract, both on-site at SGP and onshore in Aberdeen. Contract value is undisclosed. Aker Solutions has worked with Total E&P UK since 1989 continually developing the joint relationship and overall service provision.

Aker Solutions Secures Contract with Perenco UK

Aker Solutions has secured a three year contract extension worth £18million (GBP) to provide onshore and offshore operations and maintenance services to Perenco UK. The agreement includes provision of operations, maintenance and technical support personnel for Perenco at its on and offshore assets in the southern North Sea. More than 80 Aker Solutions employees are currently involved in delivering work for Perenco UK with the majority based offshore. The contract is valid for three (3) years, with an optional two (2) year extension.

Aker Solutions Secures New UK Contract

Aker Solutions has secured a contract for maintenance, modifications and operations work with an undisclosed customer in the UK sector of the North Sea. The two-year contract will guarantee over 180 jobs annually for Aker Solutions in Aberdeen, UK. There are also two optional one-year contract extensions that may be exercised in the future. Aker Solutions estimates the contract value to be approximately £13 million per year. BP Extends Contract With Aker Solutions

BP has decided to extend the maintenance and modification contract with Aker Solutions, exercising a one year option in the existing agreement for the Ula, Valhall, Hod and Tambar fields. Work under the new option will last until April 2012. The contract value is estimated to be NOK 2-300 MNOK. The original maintenance and modification contract was signed in 2005. Aker Solutions Contract for Gudrun Tie-In

Statoil has awarded Aker Solutions the Sleipner Modifications Portfolio Agreement and the first project-specific agreements for engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) for the Gudrun tie-in to Sleipner in the North Sea. The order is worth approximately $148.9m and replaces the letter of intent announced July 14. "We are pleased to win the portfolio agreement for modifications in the Sleipner area and we are looking forward to take on the Gudrun tie-in work for Statoil and its partners. This order confirms Aker Solutions' leading position within advanced and complex modifications in the North Sea," said Stian Vemmestad, president for maintenance, modifications and operations in Aker Solutions.

Aker Awarded FEED Contract

StatoilHydro has awarded Aker Solutions a front end engineering design (FEED) study for upgrading the Gullfaks A drilling facilities. The drilling upgrade is expected to extend the productive lifetime of Gullfaks A. Contract value is estimated to be approximately $8.6m. Scope of work for the FEED study includes new equipment to increase drilling capacity and modification of existing installations offshore. The study will consider the possibility to upgrade the drilling capacity to reach 10 kilometers, including heavy lifting to install a new derrick. The FEED will also include improvement of environment, health and safety (HSE) upgrading for the equipment to be better suited for the increased longitude. The object is to install top modern equipment and automated offshore installation.

Maintenance Contract for Norsk Hydro

Norsk Hydro will award Aker Kvaerner a frame agreement for maintenance and modification of six of their platforms in the North Sea. The agreement runs for three years and the contract value is approximately NOK 300 million p.a. The agreement may be extended for additional six years. The platforms included in the agreement are Troll B and Troll C, Oseberg Øst, Oseberg C, Brage and Grane. The work is estimated to approximately 500,000 hours per year.The contract will be managed from Aker Offshore Partner's division at Sandsli close to Bergen in Norway under the new offshore agreement with Norsk Hydro, but also other Aker Kvaerner companies will be involved. The agreement will take effect as of July 1.

Statoil Awards Aker Maritime With Two Contracts

Statoil has awarded Aker Maritime two large contracts for maintenance and modification work on its fields in the Tampen area of the North Sea and the Halten Bank/Nordland area of the Norwegian Sea. Including options, the contracts run for up to 11 years, and have a combined value of around $1 billion. The contracts consist of frame agreements for the maintenance and modification work to be carried out on the installations operated by Statoil in both the Tampen area and the Halten Bank/Nordland area. The Tampen area includes the Statfjord A, B and C platforms and the Gullfaks A, B and C platforms. The options cover work on the Snorre TLP, Snorre B and Visund platforms when Statoil takes over as operator of these fields.
