Gazprom, Shell Discuss LNG Projects

A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Maarten Wetselaar, Member of the Executive Committee of Royal Dutch Shell, took place in St. Petersburg. The meeting addressed relevant aspects of strategic cooperation. Particular attention was paid to joint efforts in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) sector. The parties discussed the construction project for the third train of the LNG plant on Sakhalin Island and the progress of the Joint Study Framework Agreement for the Baltic LNG project. The meeting also focused on the Nord Stream 2 project.

Ukraine Must Pay Up Front for Gazprom Gas Supplies

Gazprom inform that in a recent working meeting, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev tasked Gazprom to switch Ukraine to gas prepayment terms. The meeting involved Dmitry Medvedev, Russian Prime Minister, Alexander Novak, Russian Energy Minister and Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee. Alexey Miller informed Dmitry Medvedev that Ukraine’s total debt for Russian gas, including for the past year, totaled USD 3.508-billion. It was pointed out that Ukraine had made small payments at the beginning of the year, but March and April deliveries hadn’t been paid off.

Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, inaugurated today a new office building of Gazprom Export in St. Petersburg. Taking part in the ceremony were Mikhail Mokretsov, Vice-Governor of the city of St. Petersburg, Alexander Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, Elena Burmistrova, CEO of Gazprom Export, and city authorities. The new HQ is located in the city center, the Ostrovskogo Square, and occupies the reconstructed premises built in 2006.

Gazprom And Verbundnetz Gas To Stabilize European Supply

Alexey Miller Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee stated, "In cooperation with Verbundnetz Gas we will increase the stability of gas supply to our European consumers in the autumn-winter period." He made the statement at St. Petersburg, which today hosted a meeting between Alexey Miller and Karsten Heuchert, Chairman of the Verbundnetz Gas (VNG) Executive Board. The two parties highly appreciated the current state of the partnership relations between the companies and addressed the cooperation development issues.

Russia & China Agree on Gas Supplies

As part of the APEC summit in Beijing, a number of documents related to the Russian-Chinese cooperation in the energy sector were signed today in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Zhou Jiping, Chairman of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) signed a Framework Agreement on gas supplies via the western route. In particular, the document reflects such conditions as the volume and terms of supply, the take-or-pay level, the location of the gas delivery point on the border.

  Sochi hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Claudio Descalzi, Chief Operating Officer of Eni. The parties addressed the main areas of and prospects for enhancing the bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, in particular, the partnership within the South Stream project. It was pointed out that new supply routes would provide European consumers with the required gas volumes over the long run. The meeting participants also discussed the issues of Russian natural gas supply to Italy.

  On October 13 the Gazprom leadership acceded to Alisher Usmanov's request for releasing him from his position as Director General of Gazprom Investholding. At the meeting Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee thanked Alisher Usmanov for many years of conscientious fruitful work and wished him success and health. Evgeny Shadrin was appointed Director General of Gazprom Investholding. Previously he used to be Director General of Factoring-Finance.

  The annual General Shareholders Meeting of Gazprom was followed by a meeting of the Company's newly elected Board of Directors. The meeting resolved to elect Viktor Zubkov as Chairman of the Gazprom Board of Directors. Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee was named as Deputy Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors.

Minsk hosted today an official construction launch of Gazprom Center – a Gazprom Group-owned multi-purpose complex. Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus and Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee took part in the event. Situated at the corner of Nezavisimosti Avenue and Filimonova Street close to the National Library of Belarus, the new complex will consist of nine contemporary premises of various heights, designed to be integrated naturally into the surrounding metropolitan area and to complement the existing buildings nearby.

OMV & Gazprom to Build South Stream in Austria by 2016

Alexey Miller, Chairman of Gazprom's Management Committee and Gerhard Roiss, Chief Executive Officer of OMV inked a Shareholders Agreement for the South Stream Austria joint project company. The document was signed in Vienna today during a visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Republic of Austria. The Agreement envisages the parties' cooperation while constructing the Austrian section of the South Stream gas pipeline with the annual capacity of 30 to 32 billion cubic meters running from the Hungarian border to the end point in Baumgarten.

Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Alexander Zhukov, President of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the Gazprom headquarters today. Gazprom will support the national Olympic team as a general sponsor. The Company will allocate funds for Russian athletes' training for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (2016) and Pyeongchang (2018). “It is important that Gazprom carries out social tasks and offers sufficient support for sports activities across Russia. In this respect, the Company's focus is on the Russian Olympic movement.

Gazprom Supplying Gas to Europe as Contracted

A working meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Gazprom Chairman Alexey Miller took place today.

Alexey Miller reported to Vladimir Putin that European consumers were receiving gas supplies entirely in line with contractual obligations. The total accumulated gas supplies for export exceeded the planned amount by 3 billion cubic meters by early September. According to the Hydrometcenter forecasts, the upcoming wither in Russia will be colder than usual. In this regard, Gazprom’s prioritized activity now is gas injection into underground gas storage (UGS) facilities. The Company raised the planned amount of working gas for injection into Russian UGS facilities to 72 billion cubic meters.

The Gazprom headquarters hosted today a briefing session led by Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee dedicated to the Company's activities this winter. Special attention was given to the contracts for gas supply to Ukraine and its transit to Europe. It was pointed out that today was the sixth anniversary of the Ukrainian Government approving the results of the negotiations on Russian natural gas supply to Ukraine from 2009 to 2019 and on the terms and conditions of its transit via Ukraine to Europe.

Gazprom inform that Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Ben van Beurden, Chief Executive Officer of Shell, met in Sochi and signed a document that that envisages the preparation of FEED documentation for the third LNG production train within the Sakhalin II project. “The global LNG market is booming â€“ primarily in Asian countries. Novel LNG production capacities are the key to achieving a strong position in this market,” said Alexey Miller. “We welcome the sequential approach of our strategic partner Gazprom to expanding the LNG plant in the Prigorodnoye settlement.

Kuwait in Talks on Russian LNG Imports

Gazprom informs it has hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Abdulaziz Al-Adwani, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to the Russian Federation to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas sector. In particular, the principals addressed the idea of broadening their co-operation on Gazprom's LNG supplies to Kuwait, as well as the implemetation of other joint projects. Since 2011 Gazprom Group says it has supplied two LNG cargoes to Kuwait.

New Vladivostok LNG Terminal Project on Track

At a recent meeting of Gazprom's Management Committee, Chairman Alexey Miller noted that the project was progressing rapidly and on schedule â€“ the first train of an LNG plant will be commissioned in 2018. Gazprom explains that it aims to speed up new LNG projects in order to increase their share in the global gas market. Vladivostok-LNG is one of such projects. The two energy providers discussed the possibilities of co-operation in supplying liquefied natural gas (LNG) particularly from the Baltic LNG project to the European and Latin American markets, during a recent meeting at Gazprom HQ. Russia's Gazprom inform that the meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Marcelino Oreja, Chief Executive Officer of Enagas also noted that Spain had a potential to become one of the major consumers of LNG from the project.

Gazprom is working out the General Gas Supply and Gasification Scheme of Kyrgyzstan until 2030.

The development of gas transmission and distribution infrastructure of Kyrgyzstan was discussed during a meeting held at the Gazprom headquarters hosted today between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Djoomart Otorbaev, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic. It was pointed out that the relevant facilities in the Republic were well rundown. In this regard, Gazprom is working out the General Gas Supply and Gasification Scheme of Kyrgyzstan until 2030.
