Ron Crocker Joins Alion Team

Ron Cocker

Alion Science and Technology, a global engineering, technology and operational solutions company, announced that Ron Crocker has joined the company to enhance GSA communications and provide strategic management of several of Alion’s GSA indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicles. In this role, Crocker will develop and strengthen Alion’s relationships with customers served by the company under contracts that include several GSA schedules and the $50 billion Alliant contract.

Crumpton Global Diving & Salvage ROV Ops Manager

Seattle-based Global Diving & Salvage, Inc. has appointed Eric Crumpton as Operations Manager for its fleet of underwater vehicles. Crumpton, who will be based out of Global’s Seattle office, brings over 30 years of ROV operations and manufacturing experience to the job. Prior to joining Global, Crumpton worked for Deep Sea Systems, Oceaneering, Honeywell, Hydro Products and Alliant Techsystems. Crumpton will be responsible for the supervision and management of Global Diving’s ROV operations and related services for all groups within the GD&S family as well as the greater marketplace. Admiral Jeremiah Joins Todd Shipyards Corporation Board of Directors

Todd Shipyards Corporation announced that Admiral David E. Jeremiah, U.S. Navy (Ret.) was elected to the Board of Directors of the Company at its annual meeting of shareholders on Friday, September 12, 2003. Admiral Jeremiah is President of Technology Strategies & Alliances Corporation, a strategic advisory and investment banking firm engaged primarily in the aerospace, defense, telecommunications and electronics industries. Prior to his retirement from the U.S. Navy in 1994, he was Vice Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1990 to 1994 and Commander-in-Chief of the United States Pacific Fleet from 1987 to 1990. Admiral Jeremiah serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wackenhut Services, Inc.

Alion Awarded GSA Alliant IT Integration Contract

Alion Science and Technology, an employee-owned technology solutions company, has been awarded the GSA’s Alliant contract, a government-wide acquisition contract (GWAC) to provide IT integration services to the federal government. The 10-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract (five year base with one five year option) has a maximum value of $50 Billion. Northrop Grumman To Develop Lithium-Ion Battery For Advanced Seal Delivery System

Northrop Grumman Corporation has been awarded a $4 million contract by the U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) for the development and integration of lithium-ion battery technology for the U.S. Special Operations Force's new Advanced SEAL Delivery System (ASDS). Work on the ASDS battery system is being developed in conjunction with Alliant Techsystems, Inc. of Horsham, Pa. The ASDS, which is a mini-submarine intended to clandestinely carry Navy SEAL teams and their combat gear to and from hostile shores, is designed and built by Northrop Grumman's Oceanic & Naval Systems business unit.
