ABBRA Registration 2014 Conference & Speaker Panel
The American Boat Builders & Repairers Association (ABBRA) announces its line-up of topics and speakers for the 2014 ABBRA Boatyard Business Conference. The event, which focuses strictly on issues important to boatyards, boat builders and marine service/repair businesses, will take place January 22 – 24, 2014, at the B Ocean Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and will offer conference participants a venue to hear updates on opportunities and challenges facing the boatyard/boatbuilding marine industry sector. Registration is now open. Applicants are advised to register early to receive 2013 rates; members who register before December 8th pay only $295 and non-members pay $395. After December 8th rates will increase to $395 for members and $495 for non-members.

ABBRA, the American Boat Builders & Repairers Association announces its 2013 Annual Conference the “International Boatyard Business Conference”. This boatyard and related services industry event will be held January 19-20, 2013 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Boatbuilders Assoc. Names New Director, Relocates to Florida
American Boat Builders & Repairers Association (ABBRA) names new Association Management Company and Executive Director to lead the national group that represents the business interests of the boat building, marine service and boat repair industry and seeks to strengthen and encourage professionalism. The American Boat Builders & Repairers Association say they have appointed Gordon Connell as its new Executive Director and named Connell Communications its new Association Management Company.
Knight & Carver Honored as Boatyard of the Year
Knight & Carver YachtCenter has been honored by the American Boat Builders & Repairers Association (ABBRA) as the nation's most outstanding boatyard for 2007. The organization's annual Boatyard of the Year award is made annually to the U.S. Accepting the marine-industry award on behalf of Knight & Carver at the recent ABBRA awards ceremony in Atlanta were repair yard manager Mike Alvarez and production manager Giovanni LoCoco. Known for specializing in megayacht refits, Knight & Carver will soon complete a major refit of Helios, a 194-ft Oceanco-built motoryacht that has undergone an extensive five-month renovation and upgrade. The yacht's traditional European styling has given way to a more glamorous, contemporary decor, reflecting the owners' lifestyle.
