COSCO Zhoushan Shipyard Delivers Another Bulk Carrier

COSCO Corporation announce delivery of a 57,000 dwt bulk carrier to a European buyer COSCO Corporation (Singapore) Limited announces that COSCO (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co., Ltd ("COSCO Zhoushan"), a subsidiary of the Company's 51% owned COSCO Shipyard Group Co., Ltd, has delivered a bulk carrier of 57000DWT, named "SUPERIOR", to its European buyer. The delivery documents were signed by and between COSCO Zhoushan and the buyer recently The bulk carrier measures 189.99 meters in LOA, 32.26 meters in breadth and 18 meters in depth.  

Chinese Shipyard Delivers Another Bulk Carrier

COSCO announce delivery of 92,500 dwt bulk carrier to a European buyer from its Zhoushan, China, Shipyard The Board of Directors of COSCO Corporation (Singapore) Limited announces that COSCO (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of the Company's 51% owned COSCO Shipyard Group Co., Ltd, has delivered a bulk carrier of 92500DWT, "TRANS HANGZHOU", to its European buyer. The delivery documents were signed by and between COSCO Zhoushan and the buyer on 27 April 2012. The bulk carrier measures 229.2 meters in LOA (length of all), 38 meters in breadth and 20.7 meters in depth.

Dryships Takes Delivery of Sixth New Build Drillship

Dryships Announces Delivery of Ocean Rig's Sixth Newbuilding Drillship, the Ocean Rig Skyros. DryShips Inc., a global provider of marine transportation services for drybulk and petroleum cargoes and through its majority owned subsidiary, Ocean Rig UDW Inc. ("Ocean Rig"), of offshore deepwater drilling services, today announced that Ocean Rig successfully took delivery of its newbuilding drillship, the Ocean Rig Skyros, on Friday, December 20, 2013. The drillship is currently mobilizing to offshore Angola to commence drilling operations with Total.  

TEN Announces Delivery of the VLCC

Tsakos Energy Navigation Limited (TEN) announced the delivery of the 1993-built 298,900 dwt double-hull VLCC La Prudencia. The vessel has been immediately employed by a major oil company earning approximately $75,000 per day for a 50-day voyage. La Prudencia is the first delivery from the five vessel transaction announced on January 12, 2006, and will be followed by the 2004-built 37,532 dwt product tanker Delphi later this quarter.

Seaspan Corp. Announces Delivery of New Vessel

Seaspan Corporation announced the delivery of its 17th contracted vessel, the Lahore Express. The 4250 TEU vessel, which was built by Samsung Heavy Industries Co. Ltd., was delivered approximately nine weeks ahead of its contractual delivery date. The Lahore Express is the fifth of nine Seaspan vessels to be chartered to CP USA, a subsidiary of CP Ships Ltd.

Royal Olympic Announces Delivery of Olympia Explorer

Royal Olympic Cruise Lines Inc. announced that the Olympia Explorer, sister ship to Royal Olympic's Olympia Voyager, is expected to reach the port of Piraeus early 2002, which will enable it to perform new itineraries from Venice to Piraeus, Istanbul and the Greek Islands next summer, with Piraeus as an alternative port of embarkation. Royal Olympic Cruises delegates and representatives from Blohm+Voss Shipyard in Hamburg had a meeting in Piraeus regarding the delivery of the Olympia Explorer, which was due for delivery in April 2001.

Ribcraft Announces Deliveries

RIB for Milford Fire DepartmentRibcraft, the U.S. designer and manufacturer of rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) announced a series of recent deliveries. Milford Fire Department in Connecticut, Minetto Fire Rescue in New York, Carver Fire Department in Massachusetts, and Corpus Christi Fire Department in Texas all recently took delivery of new professional grade rescue crafts from Ribcraft. With a broad range of operating conditions within their jurisdictions, from small ponds to coastal environments, these departments shared the need to expand their capabilities for a water based response.

China Shipyards Deliver Three Bulk Carriers

COSCO Corporation (Singapore) announce deliveries of three bulk ships from its shipyards in China. Subsidiaries of the Company’s 51% owned COSCO Shipyard Group Co., Ltd have made the following deliveries: COSCO (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered two bulk carriers of 57000 dwt, measuring 189.99 meters in LOA, 32.26 meters in breadth and 18 meters in depth. “OBSERVATOR” and “VOYAGER”, respectively to its European buyers. COSCO (Dalian) Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered a bulk carrier of 57000 DWT, “GUOTOU 106”, to its Chinese buyer.

General Maritime Announces Delivery of Suezmax Newbuilding

General Maritime Corporation to take delivery of the Genmar Harriet G, a 150,000 dwt double-hull Suezmax newbuilding. The company expects to receive delivery of the Genmar Kara G in October 2006, with its third newbuilding expected to be delivered in third quarter of 2007 and the fourth newbuilding in the first quarter of 2008.

Two More Bulk Carriers Delivered by COSCO Shipyards

COSCO Corporation (Singapore) Limited announce deliveries from its Chinese subsidiary Dalian & Guandong shipyards. COSCO (Dalian) Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered one bulk carrier,  “SIBERIA EXPRESS”, of 92500 DWT, measuring 229.165 meters in LOA, 38.01 meters in breadth and 20.7 meters in depth  to its European buyer. COSCO (Guangdong) Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered one bulk carrier, “MARINE PRINCE”,  of 35000 DWT, measuring 179.99 meters in LOA, 30 meters in breadth and 14.7 meters in depth to its Asian buyer.

COSCO Deliver Two More Bulk Carriers from China Shipyards

2. COSCO (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered a bulk carrier of 57000 DWT, of 189.99 meters in LOA, 32.26 meters in breadth and 18 meters in depth, named “ASIAN CHAMPION”, to its Asian buyer. All the delivery documents were signed by and between the COSCO shipyards and the respective buyers in July 2012.

Navios Buys Tankship, Extends Charter on Another

Greece-based Navios Maritime Acquisition Corporation announces delivery of a MR2 product tanker & 1-year charter extension for a chemical tanker. Navios Acquisition also announced that it has agreed to extend the existing charter on the Chemical Tanker Nave Polaris for one additional year ending in Q3 2014 at the increased base rate of $12,188 with 50% profit sharing. Following the delivery of the Nave Equinox, Navios Acquisition will have 25 vessels in the water. The company has contracted 87.5% and 51.8% of its available days on a charter-out basis for 2013 and 2014, respectively.

Box Ships Gets Ship & a Credit Facility

Box Ships Inc. Box Ships Inc. a shipping company specializing in the transportation of containers, announced today that it took delivery of its ninth vessel, the OOCL China, a 5,344 TEU Post-Panamax containership built in 1996 at the Samsung shipyard in Korea. The vessel is chartered to Orient Overseas Container Lines Ltd. ("OOCL") for a period of thirty-six (36) months plus or minus thirty days (30) at a net daily rate of US$26,465. Box Ships also announced it entered into definitive documentation for a $25.0 million credit facility with ABN AMRO to partially finance the acquisition of the OOCL Hong Kong and the OOCL China. The borrowers under the credit facility are Triton Shipping Limited and Rosetta Navigation Corp.…

COSCO Singapore announces delivery from its Chinese shipyards of two bulk carriers to European owners COSCO Corporation (Singapore) Limited announces that subsidiaries of the Company’s 51% owned COSCO Shipyard Group Co., Ltd have made the following deliveries: 1. COSCO (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered a bulk carrier of 57000 DWT, “FEDERICA”, to its European buyer. 2. COSCO (Guangdong) Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered a bulk carrier of 57000 DWT, “CONTI FUCHSIT”, to its European buyer. The bulk carriers of 57000 DWT measure 189.99 meters in LOA (length of all), 32.26 meters in breadth and 18 meters in depth.  

Offshore Vessels Enhance Saudi's MMG Capability

Mohammad Al-Mojil Group (MMG) have announced the delivery of three state-of-the-art vessels for its fleet in the Marine Services Department, according to a Saudi Gazette news item. Of the three vessels, two have a length of 54 meters. The third one is a crew vessel which has operational capabilities and a capacity for up to 70 passengers. All the three vessels are now operational and provide marine support services to Saudi Aramco’s floating oil and gas platforms under the five-year contract MMG  signed with the oil company in December 2011. MMG President and CEO Ebrahim Zadeh said addition of these three vessels in the fleet…

Containership Chartered Out by Box Ships

Box Ships Inc., a  containership owning company, announce it has taken delivery of its eighth vessel, the OOCL Hong Kong, a 5,344 TEU Post-Panamax containership built in 1995 at the Samsung shipyard in Korea. The vessel is chartered to Orient Overseas Container Lines Ltd. ("OOCL") for a period of thirty-six (36) months plus or minus thirty days (30) at a net daily rate of US$26,465. Box Ships has agreed to acquire one additional 5,344 TEU Post-Panamax containership built in 1996, the OOCL China, which is expected to be delivered on or prior to July 14, 2012 and will also be chartered to OOCL for a period of thirty-six (36) months plus or minus thirty days (30) at a net daily rate of US$26,465.

Navios Announce Delivery of Two Product Tankers

Navios Maritime Acquisition Corporation, an owner and operator of tanker vessels,  has announced  that the Nave Capella, a new building MR2 product tanker vessel of 49,995 dwt, was delivered from a South Korean shipyard on July 9, 2013. The Nave Capella has been chartered out to a quality counterparty for one year at a rate of $13,825 net per day. •    Delivery of the Nave Pulsar, a 2007-built MR2 Ice Class 1A product tanker vessel of 50,922 dwt. The vessel was delivered on July 9, 2013. •    Extension of the existing charter on the Chemical Tanker Nave Cosmos for one additional year ending in Q3 2014 at the increased base rate of $12,188 with 50% profit sharing. Navios Acquisition has 27 vessels in the water following the delivery of the Nave Capella and the Nave Pulsar.

TOP Announces Delivery of Sixth in Series of Ten

TOP Tankers Inc, announced that it took delivery of M/T Restless, a 47,084 Dwt, ice-classed, double-hull Handymax tanker, built in 1991 by Halla Engineering & Heavy Industries Limited of the Republic of Korea. As with all the Company's Handymax tankers, the vessel commenced its 2-year profit-sharing employment contract with a major oil trader. The delivery of the M/T Restless represents the sixth of 10 double-hull tankers the Company is acquiring using the proceeds of its initial public offering announced on July 23, 2004. This sixth delivery increases the size of the fleet to 13 tankers, consisting of 2 Suezmax tankers, 8 Handymax tankers and 3 Handysize tankers.

Seaspan Announces Delivery of New Vessel

Seaspan Corporation announced the delivery of its 20th vessel, the Santos Express. The 4250 TEU vessel, which was built by Samsung Heavy Industries Co. Ltd., was delivered approximately seven weeks ahead of its contractual delivery date. The Santos Express is the seventh of nine Seaspan vessels to be chartered to Hapag-Lloyd USA. "The delivery of the Santos Express is another milestone in the development of our company," said Gerry Wang, Chief Executive Officer of Seaspan. "We are pleased to have 20 vessels operating worldwide and we look forward to the deliveries of the 21 additional vessels we have contracted to acquire over the next three years."

OMI Announces Delivery New Vessel

OMI Corporation today announced that it had taken delivery of the Amazon, a new 47,000 dwt product tanker, the first of a series of four sisterships being constructed for the Company by Onomichi Dockyard Co., Ltd. pursuant to contracts between the Company and Sumitomo Corporation. The vessel has entered into a previously announced three-year time charter. Craig H. Stevenson, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of OMI commented that "This brings to fifteen the number of vessels on long term time charter, with two more new product tankers to be added during the first quarter of this year. We now have twenty handysize and handymax product tankers, making us the largest owner in the world in this size category. OMI has on order at shipyards two Suezmaxes and six product carriers.

Oceanfreight Announces Delivery of Drybulk

OceanFreight Inc., a provider of seaborne transportation services announced that it has taken delivery of the MV Augusta and the MV Richmond under the Company's previously announced purchase agreements concluded in August and June 2007 respectively. The MV Richmond, a 1995 built 75,265 dwt Panamax bulk carrier was delivered to OceanFreight on December 7, 2007 and immediately commenced the previously announced time charter for a period of between 24 to 28 months at a gross daily rate of $29,100. The MV Augusta, a 1996 built 69,053 dwt Panamax bulk carrier was delivered to OceanFreight on December 17, 2007 and immediately commenced the previously announced time charter for a period of between 11 to 13 months at a gross daily rate of $61,500.

Seaspan Announces Delivery of New Vessel

Seaspan Corporation announced the delivery of its fourteenth ship, the Dubai Express. The 4250 TEU vessel, which was built by Samsung Heavy Industries Co. Ltd., was delivered approximately ten weeks ahead of its contractual delivery date. The Dubai Express is the second of nine Seaspan vessels to be chartered to CP USA, a subsidiary of CP Ships Ltd. Seaspan also received notice of expected delivery for the second 4250 TEU vessel to be delivered this year, the Jakarta Express. The containership is scheduled to join the Seaspan fleet on February 21, 2006 and would grow the total fleet to 15 ships, and the number of vessels contracted to CP USA to three.

TEN Announces Delivery and Immediate Charter

Tsakos Energy Navigation Ltd. (TEN) announced the delivery of the 37,340 dwt, 1B ice-class handysize product tanker Byzantion from Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, in South Korea. Concurrent with the delivery, the vessel entered a three-year time charter with a European oil trader for a minimum rate and a 50/50 profit share should rates exceed that minimum. The company expects the vessel to generate a minimum of $21m in gross revenue over the duration of the charter. The delivery of the Byzantion increases the number of handysize product tankers currently operating in the fleet to seven of which five are of ice-class design.
