Horizon Lines Declares Regular Dividend

Horizon Lines, Inc. (NYSE:HRZ) Board of Directors have voted to declare a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.11 per share, payable on March 15, 2009, to stockholders of record on March 1, 2009. The dividend was approved during the regularly scheduled quarterly meeting of the Board of Directors, which was held today. The company also established a record date for its 2009 annual meeting of stockholders. The company's stockholders of record at the close of business on April 13, 2009, will be entitled to notice of the annual meeting and to vote upon matters considered at the meeting. The annual meeting will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina on Tuesday, June 2, 2009.

DHT Announces Shareholders Meeting Results

DHT Holdings, Inc. announced the results of its 2014 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. The Annual Meeting was held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014. At the Annual Meeting, the shareholders voted to elect Robert N. Cowen as a Class I Director for a term of three years and Einar Michael Steimler as a Class II Director for a term of two years, to approve the 2014 Incentive Compensation Plan and to ratify the selection of Deloitte AS as DHT's independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2014.  

Tidewater Amends Bylaws and Reappoints Two Directors to Board

Tidewater Inc. has taken action to implement the board declassification proposal which has been sponsored by the Board of Directors and approved by the stockholders at the 2006 annual meeting. The Board of Directors has amended the Company's Bylaws to phase out the Company's classified board structure beginning with the 2007 annual meeting, with all director nominees at the 2007 annual meeting and thereafter to be elected for one-year terms. By the end of the transition period at the 2009 annual meeting, all members of the Company's Board of Directors shall be elected to serve one-year terms.

NWC Annual Meeting Set for Portland

The National Waterways Conference, Inc. will hold its 2006 Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregon on September 6-8. The NWC has not convened its Annual Meeting on the west coast since the organization was founded in 1960. This year’s Annual Meeting, with the theme, Prepare Today for the Needs of Tomorrow, is bringing together key government and industry decision makers from throughout the nation to address current and emerging issues that potentially affect the future viability of the nation’s ports and waterways. The two-day program will include presentations by regional leaders concerning opportunities and challenges faced by navigation and flood control interests, such as endangered species compliance, levee protection and transportation congestion.

SNAME 2008 Set for Houston

Houston will be ready to host the SNAME 2008 Annual Meeting as scheduled.  Please continue with your plans to attend and participate in this year's exciting event. The SNAME Annual Meeting Team has been in close contact with the city of Houston, the George R. Brown Convention Center and our hotel. Horizon Lines Elects New Directors

Horizon Lines, Inc. (NYSE: HRZ) announced that shareholders at the company's annual meeting yesterday elected three Class II directors and ratified the appointment of Horizon Lines' public accounting firm Ernst & Young LLP. Additionally, the Board of Directors re-elected Chief Executive Officer Charles G. Raymond as its Chairman. During the annual meeting, shareholders re-elected Class II directors Vern Clark and William J. Flynn, and elected Stephen H. Fraser as a new Class II director to succeed Dan A. Colussy, who retired from the board.

TRB to Hold Annual Meeting in DC

The Transportation Research Board (TRB) of the National Academies will hold its 83rd Annual Meeting in Washington, DC on January 11-15, 2004. Economist Dan North to Address U.S. and Global Financial Forecast

This year’s IMUA Annual Meeting’s keynote address will feature a presentation by Dan North, Chief Economist for Euler Hermes North America. Addressing attendees of the 83rd Annual Meeting, he plans to discuss what lies ahead for both the US and global economies and how it is impacted by monetary and fiscal policies. The 83rd IMUA Annual Meeting will be held May 19-22, 2013 at the Intercontinental Hotel in the Atlanta, GA suburb of Buckhead. Mr. North has been with Euler Hermes North America (EHNA) since 1996, using macroeconomic and quantitative analyses to help manage EHNA’s risk portfolio of more than $150 billion in annual U.S. trade transactions.

SNAME 2012 Annual Meeting

The Greek Section of the prestigious international Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers ( SNAME ) had an impressive participation in the October 2012 SNAME Annual Meeting in Providence, Rhode Island in USA. ‘Parallel Track’ at Upcoming IMUA Meeting

The Inland Marine Underwriters Association (IMUA) annual meeting will be held in Atlanta, May 19-22, 2013 and will feature Parallel Track. The Parallel Track addition is specifically focused on newer, less experienced inland marine underwriting and claims personnel. Continuing education credits will be offered to assist producers and other interested parties in meeting their state insurance licensing requirements. The Parallel Track, which was first introduced two years ago at the association’s Chicago Annual Meeting, will consist of a series of seminars and workshops patterned after the IMUA’s Intro to Inland Marine Course and will run parallel to the more in-depth educational sessions being presented.

Record Attendance for SNAME 2009

Challenging economic conditions didn’t stop a record number of industry professionals from attending The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) 2009 Annual Meeting and Expo. The three-day event (October 21-23) drew more than 1,150 to the Providence, Rhode Island Convention Center. "In all aspects, the 2009 SNAME Annual Meeting was a resounding success. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to those who attended the meeting, the many SNAME volunteers who organized the technical programs and social events, the meeting sponsors and those who exhibited at our EXPO. We look to build on this success and promise an exciting and stimulating meeting in Seattle/Bellevue in 2010,” said SNAME President Keith Michel.

Star Bulk Carriers AGM Approves Directorships, Auditors

Star Bulk Carriers Corp., a global shipping company focusing on the transportation of dry bulk cargoes, held its Annual Meeting of Shareholders in Singapore recently. 1.The re-election of Mr. Petros Pappas and Mr. Star Bulk is a global shipping company providing worldwide seaborne transportation solutions in the dry bulk sector. Star Bulk's vessels transport major bulks, which include iron ore, coal and grain and minor bulks such as bauxite, fertilizers and steel products. Star Bulk was incorporated in the Marshall Islands on December 13, 2006 and maintains executive offices in Athens, Greece. Its common stock trades on the Nasdaq Global Market under the symbol "SBLK". Currently, Star Bulk has an operating fleet of thirteen dry bulk carriers.

NSRP Calls for SNAME AGM Learned Papers

The National Shipbuilding Research Program (NSRP) seeks papers for presentation at Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers AGM. The NSRP is a collaboration of U.S. Shipyards that focuses on common issues with a goal of reducing the cost of acquiring, operating and maintaining Navy ships. The Ship Production Symposium in conjunction with SNAME’s 2013 Annual Meeting has released a “Call for Papers”.
