Fincantieri Built Carnival Panorama

Fincantieri's Marghera shipyard in Venice launched the Carnival Panorama, a sister ship of the 4,000-passenger Carnival Vista and Carnival Horizon.The the largest shipbuilder in Europe said in a press release that interior fittings will now begin, leading the ship to its delivery, scheduled in autumn 2019.The launching of the Carnival Cruise Line vessel was introduced by the traditional and well-wishing “coin ceremony”, consisting, according to an ancient shipbuilding custom, in welding a silver dollar on the last deck of the ship. Fincantieri Launches Carnival Horizon

Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, Carnival Horizon, was launched at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Marghera, Italy. Interior fittings will now begin, leading the ship to its delivery, scheduled in spring 2018. The new cruise liner, sister ship of Carnival Vista, the largest ship which Fincantieri has ever built for the Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet, delivered in Monfalcone in April 2016, will have a gross tonnage of 133,500 tons, be 323 meters long and accommodate more than 6,400 people onboard, including the staff.

Seabourn Encore, the first of two ultra-luxury cruise ships that Fincantieri is building for Seabourn Cruise Line, brand of Carnival Corporation, was launched today at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Marghera, Venice. Fincantieri Lays Keel for Seabourn Encore

The keel laying ceremony of “Seabourn Encore”, the first of two ultra-luxury cruise ships that Fincantieri will build for Seabourn, brand of Carnival Corporation, was held today at the Marghera shipyard. The ceremony was attended, among others, by Mr Keith Taylor, Executive Vice President Fleet Operations Holland America Group, while Fincantieri was represented by Antonio Quintano,  Marghera’s yard manager. “Seabourn Encore”, due to join the Seabourn’s fleet at the end of 2016, will be built according to the standards and technical solutions that make Seabourn one of the most prestigious brands in the ultra-luxury segment and will continue the fleet’s modernization that began in 2009.

New Costa Flagship Launched at Fincantieri Shipyard

The 'Costa Diadema', the future flagship of Costa Cruises & of the Italian-flagged passenger fleet, entered the water for the first time as the building dry-dock was flooded, and a traditional launching ceremony was held at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera. The Costa Diadema’s technical launch ceremony was carried out according to seafaring tradition. It started with the welding of a coin at the base of what was once the mainmast, a custom considered to bring good luck. Then, the shipyard director Antonio Quintano invited the godmother, Ms.
