Moose Boats Delivers New Fireboat to Alameda City FD

Vallejo ,Calif. boatbuilder Moose Boats announced it has delivered a new fireboat to the Alameda City Fire Department (AFD) located in Alameda County, Calif.According to the builder, the new Moose M2-38 fireboat is the most powerful ever assembled, running on twin Cummins turbo charged QSB 6.7L 480HP engines with Twin Disc Transmissions and Hamilton HJX 29 waterjets. Auto-Maskin Opens Houston Office

Auto-Maskin, the makers of the Marine Pro range of diesel engine controllers, announced the opening of a new regional office in Houston, Texas to support the continued expansion in the marine and oil and gas sectors in North America. The facility in Houston will be staffed by sales, engineering, application, aftermarket and commissioning resources, backed up by the HQ in Norway. With a comprehensive local inventory of parts for both new project sales or replacement parts for the extensive equipment population already in North America, the team of Auto-Maskin employee’s will be able to provide extensive services to both new and old customers.

Tandy Joins Auto Maskin AS

Simon Tandy, previously of Cummins Inc, has joined Auto Maskin AS of Lillestøm, Norway as Sales and Marketing leader. Auto Maskin AS is a provider of building control and monitoring solutions linked to rotating and process equipment in the Marine and Industrial markets since the late 60’s. Tandy is responsible for all Sales and Marketing activities and further development of the global Distribution network. Based in the UK, Tandy will be building and extending relationships with the existing customer base and exploring new partnerships globally.

First of GPA-654 Supply Vessel Delivered by Bollinger

The first of 10 new Rigdon GPA-654 platform supply vessels, appropriately named First and Ten, has been delivered from Bollinger Shipyards in Louisiana. Another 22 of the vessels of the same 190-foot design are on order by Bourbon Offshore from a Chinese yard. As with earlier Guido Perla-designed supply vessels, the diesel-electric propulsion power in these vessels is being supplied by Cummins Mid-South LLC of Kenner Louisiana. For these vessels the diesel electric package consist of two Cummins KTA-50DM1-powered1235 KW and one Cummins KTA-19DM1-powered 425 KW main propulsion generators and one 6BTA5.9G-85 KW SOLAS emergency standby generator.
