Conference to Delve into Hybrid Power & Propulsion

S2 Fuel Cell in Final Development Stage

Nordic fuel cell technology company PowerCell is in the final stage of development of its next generation fuel cell stack platform, the S2. The S2 covers a larger power range up to 25 kW and maintains the same tolerance towards CO and reformate gas as the present platform, the S1. The new fuel cell will have good stability and a compact and robust design for both automotive and stationary applications. PowerCell, the Nordic fuel cell technology leader, is currently in the final stage of development of its second fuel cell stack platform, the S2.

Mitigation of Shock & Vibration on Fast Boats

For some time now, military agencies and specialist organizations around the globe have driven the evolution of high speed watercraft. As a trickle-down effect fast response craft now serve roles once typically serviced by displacement designs including pilot boats, dive boats, crew boats and offshore support. During high speed operations the repeated shocks (RS) and whole body vibrations (WBV) of this harsh environment are transmitted to the passengers, operators and crew aboard, creating avenues of owner liability if not addressed.

Omega's Debuts New Thermistor Probes

Omega introduced its new Thermistor Probes with M12 Connections, to be featured at the Sensors Expo and Conference. The TH-21 Series thermistor probes are constructed with the a glass encapsulated thermistor element which provide excellent stability and accuracy. With a maximum continuous temperature rating of -80 to 200°C (-112 to 392°F), and intermittent operation to 250°C (482°F), these thermistor sensors can be used in applications previously out of reach of epoxy coated thermistor sensors. The probes can be ordered in any length, but minimum immersion depth of 1.5" is recommended. Short probes run the risk of error due to stem conduction effects.
