Baglietto Hull Construction on Schedule

Lürssen Launches 95m Superyacht Madsummer
The German shipyard Lürssen launched the 95-metre yacht Madsummer, previously known as project Fiji, from its yard in Rendsburg.The 311-footer superyacht hit the waters of the Kiel Canal and showed off her exterior lines designed by Harrison Eidsgaard."The Ownerâs captain and Moran Yacht & Ship supervised the project and brought in their huge spectrum of experience and consolidated knowledge," said a press release.Madsummerâs exterior lines done by London-based yacht and aircraft design studio Harrison Eidsgaard. The interior is designed by Studio Laura Sessa.Among the special features are a large beach club and spa area with a sea terrace on the lower deck. A new masterpiece from Beiderbeck Designs: in Taiwan, the yacht designers from Bremen are using the technical platform of a 33-metre long Horizon motoryacht for their latest commission for an experienced German owner. The customised 108-foot long double decker with its half-raised pilothouse (RP) on a tried and tested hull is already under construction and will be equipped with 2x 2,600 HP MTU-engines. Hamburg Hosts 12 Cruise Ships for Ports 825th Anniversary
Over the last weekend (May 9-11, 2014), 12 cruise ships visited the Port of Hamburg and were counted in total with 27 sail-by passages in front of the Landungsbrücken pontoons. AIDAprima launched at MHI's Tategami Plant at Nagasaki Shipyard
AIDAprima, was launched at the Tategami Plant of Nagasaki Shipyard of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries on 3rd May. At 2 p.m. local time, the building dock gates were opened and the ship touched water for the first time. AIDAprima was later hauled from the MHI Tategami shipyard to the Kojagi Dock on the outskirts of Nagasaki. Before the ship docks there for further fittings, diverse technical systems will be extensively tested in the next days. The highlights of the ship of a totally new AIDA generation include the Beach Club housed beneath a weather-independent transparent dome, the "Four Elements" with water slide, climbing walls, and the brand new AIDA Mini Club providing childcare for young children 6 months and older.

Turkish shipyard Alia Yachts has launched the 41.29 metre full-displacement motor yacht Rüya. She is a tri-deck sub-500 gross tonne motoryacht that was built in all-composite to Lloyds Register standards and adheres to LY2 and MCA.
