Inchcape Shipping Services – Mission Accomplished

Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) to support the Sailors’ Society again by entering two teams in the “3 Peaks Challenge 2014”. Both teams were made up of willing volunteers from around ISS’ global network, and included representatives from Dubai, Singapore, London and Namibia. Months of planning and training culminated in both teams successfully accomplishing their objective, to climb the three highest peaks of Great Britain - Ben Nevis in Scotland, Helvellyn in England and Snowdon in Wales - all in under 24 hours, and put them well on their way to raising their overall target of thirteen thousand pounds. ISS has long been an ambassador for the Sailors’ Society…

Statoil in New Field Development Offshore Canada

The Hebron field development offshore Newfoundland and Labrador was sanctioned by operator ExxonMobil and its co-venturers. Located approximately 350 km offshore Newfoundland, the Hebron platform will be a concrete Gravity Based Structure (GBS) in 95 meters water depth. The Hebron field is estimated to produce more than 700 million barrels of oil. The platform is being designed for an oil production rate of 150,000 barrels of oil per day. For Statoil, which holds a 9.7% share in Hebron, this is a significant component in the growth of the company’s Canada East Coast operations.

Sailors' Charity Benefits From Mountain Expedition Challenge

A team from Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), the world’s leading maritime services provider, has conquered three of Britain’s highest peaks, Ben Nevis in Scotland, Helvellyn in England and Snowdon in Wales, in just over 11 hours to raise funds for the Sailors’ Society in The Three Peaks Challenge. The team, Dan Whysall, Diana Vilarino and Graham Pearson, based at ISS’ offices in Essex, raised over £5,500 in sponsorship money for the Sailors’ Society, the first time they have participated in this gruelling peak climbing event. As Shipping Agents, ISS deals with merchant seafarers on a daily basis and knows just how important the Sailors’ Society is in enriching and enhancing the wellbeing of the 1.2 million seafarers throughout the world.
