Bhagwan Marine Expands Fleet

New Dive Support Vessel Fit for Many Roles

Incat Crowther’s first-of-type Catamaran Dive Support Vessel, Bhagwan Dryden, was launched and delivered earlier this year. According to the designer, operational feedback has been positive for the vessel, which has already received praise for initial operations, including mooring inspection carried out by ROV and operations under four point mooring and DP in shallow, rough seas. New Offshore Vessel Management Mobile App

Telerik says that its customer Bhagwan Marine, a leader in servicing the oil and gas industry, together with partner, Glenfield Digital Group, has released the first mobile app for offshore energy vessel management. 'LiveFleet'. Telerik explains that Bhagwan Marine wanted to be the first to leverage technology to promote its business in a bold way, setting it apart from industry-standard four-color printed brochures. The company decided to pursue a mobile app that would organize extensive vessel information and specifications, show vessel location in real-time, offer push notifications, pictures and more. Also the app would help manage Bhagwan Marine’s 700 person workforce, a critical need since 90 percent of staffers work remotely.

"Bhagwan Pride" Arrives at Bhwagwan Marine

Two months post-contract signing, Australia’s Bhagwan Marine received the delivery of Damen ASD 2310. The tug, named Bhagwan Pride, will begin her duties with operations at an LNG development near the Barrow Island Marine Park, off the Australian West Coast. The Damen ASD 2310 is a mainstay of coastal and harbour towing and push-pull operations. The Bhagwan Pride has an ahead bollard pull of 48.7 ton and 46.5 ton astern – the total output of 3,000bkW provided by two Caterpillar 3512C TA engines. She will be mobilized for towing barges loaded with equipment.

AKA Contracted for Diesel-Electric Propulsion System

Bhagwan Marine’s newbuild Dive Support Vessel incorporates Aspin Kemp & Associates’ DC bus configuration derived from the company’s XeroPoint Hybrid Marine Propulsion System.

Aspin Kemp & Associates (AKA) was awarded a contract to supply a Diesel-Electric Power and Propulsion System for Bhagwan Marine’s Dive Support Vessel (DSV) that will be constructed in Singapore. With headquarters in Western Australia, Bhagwan Marine services the oil and gas industry with its fleet of support vessels and landing crafts. Designed by Australian naval architects, Incat Crowther, the vessel will be a 56-meter, fully integrated catamaran that will perform key duties such as Dive Support, Geotechnical Survey, Cargo Transport and Safety Standby.

Keppel’s Logs $8.1B in Contracts in ‘12

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd's (Keppel O&M) subsidiaries have won three new contracts - worth a combined value of $343mn - to bring the group's total order wins for 2012 to $8.1B. Incat Crowther to Design Multi-purpose Dive Support Vessel

Incat Crowther contracted to design a 56m Catamaran Dive Support Vessel (DSV) for Bhagwan Marine, for operation by dive specialists Neptune Marine Services. The vessel has been designed from the keel up to perform six key roles; Dive Support, Geophysical Survey, Geotechnical Survey, Cargo Transport, Hyperbaric Rescue and Safety Standby. With such a varied array of operational roles, unique solutions were required not only in the allocation of spaces, but also with the specification of a flexible, high-redundancy propulsion system.

Strategic Marine delivers state-of-the-art vessel to oil & gas sector. Western Australian (WA) ship builder Strategic Marine has finished work on a state-of-the-art 27 metre work barge which will be delivered to the Port of Dampier to service the burgeoning resources sector. Strategic Marine Awarded Another Repeat Order

Strategic Marine has signed another repeat order with Western Australian company Bhagwan Marine to deliver two new vessels to service the WA's offshore oil and gas industry, including the Gorgon Project. The new contracts for a 49.5 metre and 38 metre landing craft follows the delivery of a 48 metre landing craft to join the Bhagwan Marine fleet late last year and a 27 metre work barge in March this year. The multi-cargo vessels will operate in WA's north-west hydrocarbon province and have been designed to accommodate low incline beach landings.

Strategic Marine to Build Barge for Energy Sector

Perth-based ship building company Strategic Marine has won a contract to supply a 88.5-ft work barge to service the energy and resources sector in Western Australia's north-west. The vessel, being built for Karratha business Offshore Plant Hire, will be based in the Port of Dampier and be chartered to marine operations company Bhagwan Marine. It will service the areas around Dampier, Onslow and Barrow Island and be used primarily for port upgrades, construction support, mooring maintenance and shallow water dive perations.

Strategic Marine, Bhagwan Marine Contract

Ship builder Strategic Marine Pty Ltd has signed a contract with a West Australian marine operations company, Bhagwan Marine, to build a 159 ft landing craft for use in the Australian offshore oil and gas industry. The vessel will be used in Western Australian’s north-west hydrocarbon province and has been designed by International Maritime Consultants, to accommodate for low incline beach landings. The craft’s design features a low angle bow to enable heavy equipment to be driven over the ramp door. With a 42 ft beam, the vessel can accommodate up to ten 20-ft containers with a maximum payload of 400 tonnes. An added advantage is its economical fuel consumption of about 150 litres per hour at 10 knots cruising speed.
