Boskalis Buys Rever Offshore's Subsea Services Business

Dutch marine contractor Boskalis on Monday acquired all the shares of Rever Offshore’s subsea services business.Rever, formerly known as Bibby Offshore, provides solutions in the area of subsea construction, inspection, repair, and maintenance. The company has operated in the North Sea out of Aberdeen, United Kingdom.Through this transaction, Boskalis will acquire two diving support vessels of which one is fully owned (Rever Polaris) and a second chartered (Rever Topaz). The group employs an onshore staff of around 130 in addition to approximately 220 offshore workers.

DSV Rever Polaris Gets Engine Overhaul

New engineering work involving the overhaul of diesel engines on the offshore construction and dive support vessel (DSV) Rever Polaris, has been completed by power specialist Royston.Engineers undertook the DG1 and DG3 24,000 and DG4 36,000 running hours service on the generator engines on board the 113-meter-long vessel at A&P Tyne’s facilities in the North East of England, as part of a comprehensive refurbishment and maintenance program of critical power units.The 1999-built Polaris is part of Rever Offshore’s fleet consisting of specialist offshore support vessels (OSV)…

UOS Completes Acquisition of UOS Support and Hartmann Offshore

DNV GL First Type Approval for Aluminium Cables Onboard Ships

Bibby Bags North Sea Contract

Bibby Offshore won a two-phase multimillion dollar contract with a leading oil and gas and production company. The contract, awarded in April, will see Bibby Offshore carry out IRM services across a number of the operators North Sea assets. Bibby Offshore Bags Spirit Energy Contract

Subsea services provider Bibby Offshore said it has secured a fixed term framework agreement with independent oil and gas operator Spirit Energy.Awarded in April, the two-year agreement, which follows on from a previous five-year agreement, will see Bibby Offshore carry out inspection repair and maintenance (IRM) works, remotely operated vehicle (ROV) inspection and subsea survey operations across a number of North Sea structures and pipelines.The project will utilize Bibby Offshore’s diverse fleet capabilities, including its multi-role diving and ROV support vessel, Bibby Sapphire, a Quasar M

Offshore Groups Bibby, Rever Merge

The U.K.’s Bibby Offshore will merge with Norwegian firm Rever Offshore AS in a move targeting opportunities in the diving and subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines (SURF) markets. The transaction has been agreed and is expected to close soon, announced Bibby owner Fara Holdco Limited. The merger will combine Bibby and Rever subsidiary CECON Contracting to create a larger offshore installation delivery business both in the North Sea and internationally, currently focused on the Atlantic and Mediterranean regions.

Bibby Offshore Recapitalization Completed

Subsea services provider Bibby Offshore Holdings Limited said it has completed the recapitalization of its balance sheet announced on December 5, 2017. The agreement to recapitalize the balance sheet was approved January 10 by 98.7 percent of noteholders of the £175 million (approximately $243 million) 7.5 percent senior secured notes, and makes noteholders the new owners of the group. “The completion of the recapitalization will be transformational for Bibby Offshore and is a major milestone for our business,” said Howard Woodcock, chief executive of Bibby Offshore.

Bibby Offshore Wraps up North Sea Work

Perenco appointed Bibby Offshore to perform subsea integrity inspections and maintenance works on the Inde Joint pipeline, which runs to the Bacton Gas Terminal in the Southern North Sea. Completed in early July, the 15-day workscope saw Bibby Offshore install a total of 94 concrete mattresses over the pipeline to assist in preserving the remaining rock dump mounds. The second workscope, completed in late July, saw Endeavour Energy UK contract Bibby Offshore to carry out subsea tree inspections in the Renee and Rubie fields located in blocks 15/27 and 15/28 of the Central North Sea.

Bibby Topaz Charter Extension

Bibby Offshore, provider of subsea installation and services to the offshore oil and gas industry, said it has secured a long-term extension to the charter of its dive-support vessel (DSV) Bibby Topaz, owned by Volstad Maritime. The terms and conditions of the extended charter arrangement have been adjusted to reflect the current market environment. Bibby Offshore wins Shell Contract

Bibby Offshore won a contract with Shell, due to commence in Q1 2017, that will see Bibby Offshore provide engineering and subsea construction activities in the Gannet G field in the Central North Sea. Bibby Offshore is contracted to use utilize its multipurpose dive support and offshore construction vessel - Bibby Polaris - and its integral 1000 ton basket carousel to lay flexible pipe systems in water depths of approximately 95m. The company has also collaborated with a third party operator who will carry out trenching operations after the initial workscope is complete.

Bibby Offshore Wins Shell Subsea Deal

Bibby Offshore, the leading subsea services provider to the oil and gas industry, has this year been awarded two contracts from Shell to provide inspection services on assets in the Corrib Natural Gas field in the North Atlantic Ocean. The first contract, completed in June this year, saw Bibby Offshore’s construction support vessel Olympic Ares - equipped with Quantum Work Class and SeaEye Cougar Inspection Class ROVs - perform subsea inspections 83km off the North West coast of Ireland, in water depths of approximately 360m. The 40 day campaign involved pipeline survey inspection work on a 83km long 20” gas pipeline, and internal wellhead and manifold fault diagnostics, structural inspection and cathodic protection measurements, to ensure optimum levels of productivity were achieved.

BP Awards Bibby Combined Diving Campaign

Bibby Offshore, a subsea services provider to the oil and gas industry, says it has secured a 15-day project with BP, due to commence in August 2016. The contract will see diving support vessel Bibby Topaz, working on four BP operations across three of its North Sea assets. The platforms involved include Central North Sea-based asset Bruce, east of Shetland-based Magnus, and the Mirren field, which is part of the Eastern Trough Area Project (ETAP), one of the largest and most complex North Sea oil and gas developments of the past 20 years. Bibby Steers to Offshore Cable Installation

Bibby Offshore announced its decision to move into the offshore wind array cable installation market. The company has purchased a power cable lay carousel from Ecosse Subsea Systems (ESS), which will enable Bibby Offshore to lay power cables for offshore wind projects from its vessels. Bibby Offshore and ESS have also entered into strategic alliance by way of a framework agreement. Under this alliance, Bibby Offshore will provide commercial expertise supported by subsea project management and engineering experience, while ESS will provide innovation and in depth sector competence through its trenching expertise. Bibby Offshore Bags Mega North Sea Contract

Bibby Offshore, a leading subsea services provider to the oil and gas industry, has announced a multimillion dollar contract with a global energy player, to provide first gas and construction support on its assets in the Southern North Sea. Bibby Offshore Clinches BP Contract

Bibby Offshore, a leading subsea services provider to the oil and gas industry, has been awarded a multimillion pound contract by BP to replace subsea infrastructure in the Central North Sea. The work is part of the $1billion Eastern Trough Area Project (ETAP) Life Extension Project announced by BP in the summer. ETAP is one of the largest and most complex developments in the North Sea, comprising nine oil and gas reservoirs, six of which are operated by BP. The ETAP Life Extension Project (ELXP) will help secure the future of the fields until 2030 and beyond. The Bibby Offshore ELXP contract involves installing new subsea control system infrastructure to safeguard power and communication links to ETAP’s Machar, Madoes and Mirren fields, some 150 miles East of Aberdeen.

Kleven Delivers to Olympic Shipping

Offshore construction vessel Olympic Bibby, build no. 371 from Kleven Verft, has been delivered to Norwegian shipowner Olympic Shipping. The vessel has a long term charter with Bibby Offshore, and its first job will be on the British sector of the North Sea. The naming ceremony was held in Olympic’s home harbor Fosnavåg April 9. The vessel measures 87.5  x 19m, making the entrance to the narrow harbor (22m wide) a spectacular sight. The vessel is of MT 6021 design from Marin Teknikk, has accommodation for 68 persons, and is purpose built for subsea inspection, maintenance and repair work.
