Sivertsen is New CEO of EMGS

Bjarte Bruheim has decided to step down as Chief Executive Officer of Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA with immediate effect. He has held this position since 7 January 2015, and before that, he held the position as the company's executive chairman since 2004. The board of directors wishes to express its gratitude to Bjarte Bruheim for his valuable contribution to the company through many years. EMGS has initiated a search for a new CEO. Until a permanent CEO is in place, Stig Eide Sivertsen has been appointed new CEO. As the CEO cannot be a member of the board of directors, according to the Norwegian Public Limited Liability Companies Act, Sivertsen has voluntarily resigned as board member with immediate effect. Sivertsen has served on the Board and chaired the Company's audit committee.

EMGS 2Q Revenue Falls

Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) recorded revenues of USD 12.1 million in the second quarter 2015, down from 32.3 million in the previous quarter and from USD 42.5 million in the second quarter 2014. Contract sales ended at USD 4.8 million, while sales from the multi-client library ended at USD 7.3 million. The results were negatively affected by extraordinary costs related to the Company's cost reduction program. EBITDA ended with a negative USD 6.0 million after a multi-client investment of USD 14.0 million. An impairment of goodwill related to the OHM acquisition in 2011 of USD 14.4 million resulted in a net loss for the second quarter 2015 of USD 26.0 million.

EMGS Bags Malaysian Award for BOA Thalassa

Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) has received a letter of award (LOA) for a contract worth approximately USD 4.2 million from an oil company for 3D EM data acquisition over their operated area in Malaysia. The two parties have entered into a two-year contract, of which this LOA constitutes the commitment for the first and initial phase. The parties have also designed a survey for an optional second phase in 2016. "We are very pleased to announce this letter of award with a repeat customer in Malaysia. It is also important to us that it is a two-year agreement, with expectations for more work next year," says CEO of EMGS, Bjarte Bruheim. The survey will be done using the vessel BOA Thalassa which is expected to commence acquisition as soon as possible.

EMGS Bags PEMEX Contract

Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) has received a letter from PEMEX to return for 3D EM acquisition in Mexico. The vessel BOA Galatea is expected to re-start the work for PEMEX. The order is confirming a continuation of the existing contract for PEMEX, announced on 27 June 2013.   "We are delighted to start working for PEMEX again in this exciting region," said Bjarte Bruheim, CEO of EMGS.   The duration of the acquisition is not settled. Further information will be announced in due course.

EMGS Posts 4Q 2014 Results

Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) recorded revenues of USD 52.5 million in the fourth quarter 2014, up from USD 41.7 million in the third quarter and from USD 44.9 million in the corresponding quarter in 2013. Contract sales totaled USD 25.5 million, while multi-client sales were at USD 27.0 million this quarter. The Company had an EBITDA of USD 18.6 million and a net income of USD 15.1 million. The Company had record-high multi-client sales in the quarter, mostly from the library in the Barents Sea. In addition, the Company signed contracts for its vessel BOA Thalassa in Asia and a 3.5 months contract for the EM Leader in Uruguay. The Atlantic Guardian spent most of the quarter at yard and contributed with only 0.9 vessel month this quarter. “2014 was a successful year for EMGS.
