Bladt, Semco to Deliver Three 880MW Offshore Substations for CVOW Project

Danish offshore energy industry services firms Bladt Industries and Semco Maritime have been awarded a contract to deliver substations for Dominion Energy's Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project in the U.S.The contract comprises three 880 MW offshore substations, which will be established in 2021-2025 and commissioned in 2026."The three substations will constitute the backbone of the electrical infrastructure for the 2.6 GW Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project. The contract is Bladt Industries’ and Semco Maritime’s third offshore substation project in the U.S.

Port of Mukran to Serve as O&M Base for Parkwind's Baltic Sea Wind Farm

Offshore wind developer Parkwind has selected the Port of Mukran as a service base that will serve its Arcadis Ost I wind farm, in the Baltic Sea, offshore Germany.Earlier this week, Parkwind, wind turbine maker Vestas, and construction firm Ems Maritime Offshore (EMO) signed the lease agreements for the O&M building in the Port of Mukran, the easternmost deep water port in Germany.The signing ceremony marked the start of the building development where up to 40 professionals will oversee and service the operations of the 257 MW wind farm Arcadis Ost 1.

L-3 SAM Supplies Wind Farm Electronics

L-3 SAM Electronics announced that it has been commissioned by steel contractor Bladt Industries A/S of Aalborg, Denmark, to outfit transition pieces for the EnBW Baltic 2 wind farm due to become operational this year. “The EnBW Baltic 2 project is the second major turnkey wind farm contract to have recently been awarded to L-3 and further underscores the effectiveness of our Marine & Power Systems (M&PS) wind energy working group in leveraging its broad capabilities to meet customer needs,” said Juergen Meyer-Pepel, senior vice president of L-3 SAM Electronics.

Offshore Wind Substation Contract for Semco Maritime

German energy group RWE has chosen Semco Maritime as subcontractor for design and installation of the substation platform at the offshore wind farm Nordsee Ost in the German North Sea region. The project includes offshore commissioning of the electrical and technical systems at the substation. The contract was won in close cooperation with the Danish partner Bladt Industries. RWE’s Nordsee Ost (NSO) offshore wind farm is situated around 35 kilometres to the northeast of the island of Helgoland.

Jumbo Offshore Wins Offshore Wind Contract

MT Højgaard has awarded Jumbo Offshore the transport and installation contract for all of the 111 Transition Pieces (TP’s) for the Anholt Offshore Wind Farm (Denmark). The 400 MW wind farm is currently being developed by DONG Energy. The Anholt Wind Farm is located in the ‘Kattegat’, near Anholt Island, and will be the largest offshore wind farm in Denmark. One of Jumbo’s DP2 Offshore Heavy Lift Vessels will install the TP’s on pre-installed monopiles, starting April 2012. Anholt is a result of Danish government policy, which aims for a society independent of fossil fuels.

Dong, Bladt Offshore Turbine Foundation Deal

According to a report from Recharge, Dong Energy has signed a landmark deal with Bladt Industries for the delivery of 600 foundations for offshore wind turbines over the coming years. The framework agreement – aims to encourage close cooperation between the two Danish companies over the design and production of the foundations.   Source: Recharge
