Bandy Creek Boat Harbour Dredging Complete

BMT – DoT Partnership Extended

BMT JFA Consultants, together with sister company BMT Oceanica, subsidiaries of BMT Group (BMT), have announced that the Western Australian Department of Transport (DoT) has taken up the Contract option to extend its current contract for a further two years. BMT will continue to provide a range of project management services for the Department from the early stage review of hydrographic survey data to assess the maintenance dredging requirements, through to the project planning process leading to the management of the project execution and site supervision.

BMT Awarded Port Geographe Coastal Engineering Contract

BMT JFA Consultants (BMT), a subsidiary of BMT Group,  has been awarded a contract by the Western Australian Department of Transport (DoT) to provide services as Coastal Engineering Advisor for the Management of Beaches, Structures and Waterways at Port Geographe, Busselton. The contract will initially run for two years with options to extend annually up to a total five year period. Port Geographe harbor is a coastal marina and residential canal estate developed in 1996 near the town of Busselton, Western Australia.

BMT JFA Consultants, a subsidiary of BMT Group, the international maritime design, engineering and risk management consultancy, has announced plans for new offices in both Perth, Western Australia and Brisbane, Queensland in order to better support its clients’ requirements and provide space for expansion. The new Perth office will combine BMT’s strategic ports and harbors and machinery consultancy expertise into a single location in Perth by bringing BMT JFA Consultants and BMT WBM into the one office.

BMT Plans Opening of Two New Offices in Australia

BMT JFA Consultants, a subsidiary of international maritime design, engineering and risk management consultancy, BMT Group, says it plans new offices in both Perth, Western Australia and Brisbane, Queensland in order to better support its clients’ requirements and provide space for expansion. The new Perth office will combine BMT’s strategic ports and harbours and machinery consultancy expertise into a single location in Perth by bringing BMT JFA Consultants and BMT WBM into the one office. This will improve its overall service offerings to local government, mining and private sector clients in Western Australia. BebbCart, a specialist ports and harbours cartographic consultancy, will also be co-located with BMT JFA Consultants in its new offices.

BMT Engaged in Australian Foreshore Project Design

BMT JFA Consultants (BMT)  supports the Shire of Esperance, Western Australia in its plans to construct a granite seawall & headland. BMT was originally commissioned to help develop the required technical specifications for the production of sufficient quarry rock to construct a granite seawall and headland as part of the Esperance Foreshore Protection & Enhancement Project. BMT’s support rapidly expanded to encompass the construction specifications and to review and finalise the detailed design of the structures. Part of this work has entailed the production of a detailed design report, which provides a basis for ongoing engineering support during the construction and post-construction management phases.

BMT Secures Contract for Rio Tinto

BMT JFA Consultants (BMT), a subsidiary of BMT Group Ltd, a  international engineering and risk management consultancy, has been commissioned by Pilbara Iron Company Pty Ltd (part of the Rio Tinto Group) to provide specialist dredging consultancy services. The primary objective of this work is to prepare a Maintenance Dredging Plan (MDP) for Rio Tinto’s iron ore export operations at the ports of Dampier and Cape Lambert on the North-West coast of Western Australia. The MDP will provide a wide-ranging review of all dredging-related activities at the ports of Dampier and Cape Lambert.
