U.S. Court Case against Bollinger Dismissed
The United States filed a complaint against Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. in July 2011 based on allegations that "Bollinger knowingly misled the Coast Guard to enter into a contract for the lengthening of Coast Guard cutters by falsifying data relating to the structural strength of the converted vessels." Bollinger Wins 8th Consecutive SCA Safety Award
Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. was awarded the 2012 “Award for Excellence in Safety” by the Shipbuilders Council of America for the eighth consecutive year. On April 11, 2013, The Shipbuilders Council of America (SCA) presented the “Award for Excellence in Safety” to Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. during the association’s Spring General Membership Meeting in Washington, DC. The Award for Excellence in Safety is given to member companies with the lowest Total Recordable Incident Rates (TRIR) based on a quarterly injury and illness survey conducted by the association.

Bollinger Announces Consortium for Future Building Opportunities
Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. announced at the International Workboat Show in New Orleans that an agreement was reached to form an international consortium to respond to a Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition program for the Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV). The JHSV program brings together Navy, Army, Marines, and SOCOM to pursue a multi-use platform. The JHSV is a new generation, multi-use platform capable of transporting troops and their equipment, supporting humanitarian relief efforts, the ability to operate in shallow waters and can reach speed in access of 35 knots fully loaded. SCA Elects New Chairman
The Shipbuilders Council of America (SCA) announced that Steve Welch, chief executive officer of Todd Pacific Shipyards Corp., has been elected its new chairman, replacing Donald T. “Boysie” Bollinger, chief executive officer of Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. Butch King, chief executive officer of VT Halter Marine, Inc., was elected to the position of vice-chair. The elections took place during the Council’s annual Spring Meeting, held April 30 through May 1, in Washington, DC.
Bollinger Safety Program Achieves Milestones
Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. continues to achieve safety milestones changing the culture of shipyard safety awareness at its US based facilities. In the last quarter, Bollinger facilities at Algiers and Lockport New Construction both surpassed one year without a lost time accident. Bollinger VP Larry Vauclin to Retire
Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. announced the upcoming retirement of its Vice President Central Division, Larry Vauclin. Bollinger Shipyards Agrees On Modification/Conversion Project
Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. has signed a contract for modifications and conversions for MSV Ocean Intervention, a multi-purpose support vessel owned by Oceaneering International, Inc. Measuring 243 x 54 x 19 ft., the vessel will undergo revisions to its moon pool systems and "A" frame, as well as enhancement of tank capacities at Bollinger's Morgan City facility.

GAO Upholds Contract Award to Bollinger

BMF Delivers RTC 26 and RTC 27
Bollinger Marine Fabricators, L.L.C., (BMF) Amelia, La., a Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. company, has delivered the RTC 26 and RTC 27, double hull, oil tank barges built to meet the requirements of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPAâ€™90), to Reinauer Transportation Companies, L.L.C., Staten Island, N.Y. Following the delivery of the RTC 26 and RTC 27, Bollinger announced the signing of a sister ship, Bollinger hull number 543, scheduled for delivery in the 4th quarter of 2008. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
Tidewater Signs Construction Contract
Tidewater Inc. announced today that it has entered into a $45 million construction contract with Bollinger Shipyards Lockport LLC for the construction of four (4) offshore supply vessels. The high performance, high capacity 207-foot platform supply vessels will be delivered during the period beginning in October 2003 and ending in May 2004. Prior to entering into the contract, Donald T. "Boysie" Bollinger, chairman and C.E.O. of Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., resigned from his position as a director of Tidewater. Bollinger Receives Safety Award
Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. has been presented the Award For Excellence In Safety by the Shipyard Council of America (SCA). The award was presented during the association’s April 7, 2008 general membership meeting held in The Award For Excellence In Safety is given to member companies who have an end-of-year Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) that is below the total SCA rate. In 2007, SCA members set their lowest rate ever with a TRIR of 5.86. Bollinger’s rate for 2007 was 3.20.
Bollinger Awarded Six OSV Conversions from Hornbeck
Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. has been awarded a contract by Hornbeck Offshore Services (HOS) to convert six (6) 200 class DP1 offshore supply vessels (OSV’s), to 240 class DP2 OSV’s. The announcement was made by Bollinger executive vice president, Ben Bordelon, who said, “We are very pleased to announce the award of the HOS Super 200 conversion program. The news of the conversion program was announced by HOS on September 4th 2012, saying they have decided to implement a retrofit program to stretch and upgrade six 200 class DP-1 OSVs into 240 class DP-2 OSV’s.
Henry Appointed Director of IT at Bollinger
Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. announced the appointment of Chris Henry as Director of Information Technology. Henry will have overall responsibility for Information Technology, including the direction of business process reengineering, database system strategy and strategic and tactical information technology planning. A native of the South Louisiana region, Henry has been involved with information technology in the oil and gas industry and energy sectors for the past twenty-two years. Henry is a 1987 graduate of Nicholls State University with a B.S. in Computer Science.

Bollinger Contracted to Build Two for Bouchard
Bouchard’s B.No. 225, sister hull to the announced newbuilds, B. No. 280 and B.No. 205, travels down the Mississippi River on her maiden voyage following delivery from Bollinger. Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. of Lockport, Louisiana and Bouchard Coastwise Management, Corp., Hicksville, N.Y., one of the largest operators of double hull articulated tug/barge (ATB) units in the United States, signed a contract for Bollinger to build two double-hull, ocean-going barges that meet the requirements of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA’90). These two additions will give Bouchard fourteen OPA’90 barges in their fleet. This addition to the Bollinger yards portfolio, will bring the delivered OPA’90 barge count to thirty-three when both units are delivered.
