LOC Group, a provider of services to the offshore oil and gas industry, announced it has become the third-party provider for marine assurance and inspection with BP Egypt.LOC Egypt has been awarded a two-year marine assurance and inspection contract by BP Egypt. This is the first time LOC Egypt has been awarded work by BP, the major oil and gas operator in Egypt. Solstad Farstad Bags Contract with Fairfield Industries
Solstad Farstad ASA (SOFF) has entered into a contract with Fairfield Industries Inc. for the CSV âNormand Tonjerâ. The contract will commence in 3Q 2018 and has a duration of one year firm plus two yearly options.Fairfield will use the vessel to support their innovative worldwide ocean bottom seismic survey using node-based technology.Solstad Farstad has updated other contracts too. The key contracts in the subsea construction segment include Far Saga contract extension with Petrobras until 2Qâ20, Nor Australis awarded 3 months contract with Magseis for operations in Southeast Asia and Normand Installer renewal of frame agreementâŚ
Solstad Farstad Secures Work for Six Vessels
Norwegian ship owner Solstad Farstad ASA said it has secured new contracts and contract extensions for six vessels.BP Egypt has declared the one-year option on the platform supply vessel (PSV) Sea Swift resulting in continuous utilization of the vessel through to August 2019.Equinor Brasil has extended present contracts for the PSVs Far Scotsman and Far Serenade with three months each to December 2018.In addition, SolstadFarstad secured ongoing charters in the Bass Strait, Australia, for the anchor handling tug supply vessels (AHTS) Far Senator and Far Saracen and the PSV Sea Swan.
BP Extends PSV Deals with Deep Sea Supply
Oslo-listed offshore vessel owner Deep Sea Supply has secured two time charter contract extensions with BP Egypt. The PSVs Sea Spear and Sea Spark have been awarded a 1 year extension of their charter contracts with start from end of current firm period, in July 2017. "Deep Sea Supply is pleased to announce an extension of two time charter contracts with BP Egypt," said a statement from the company. Both vessels started operations for BP Egypt in Egypt in July 2016 on one year firm and one year option contract. Following this extension both vessels are now firm until July 2018.
