AET Takes Delivery of New Shuttle Tanker for Shell Charter in Brazil

Tanker operator AET has taken delivery of Eagle Campos, the first of another three Suezmax Dynamic Positioning (DP2) Shuttle Tankers purpose built for long-term charter to Brazil Shipping I Limited, a subsidiary of Shell.Shuttle tankers are used for the offloading and transporting oil from offshore oil installations.AET struck a deal with Shell in December 2019 to operate these three Suezmax DP2 shuttle tankers in the international and Brazilian Basin on a long-term charter with Eagle Campos being the first in this series.

Samsung Delivers Eagle Pilar Shuttle Tanker to AET

Oil tanker operator AET has taken delivery of the Eagle Pilar, a new Suezmax Dynamic Positioning (DP2) shuttle tanker. The vessel has been purpose-built for long-term charter to Brazil Shipping I Limited, a Shell subsidiary.The vessel was delivered on Wednesday by Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) in South Korea.This 153,180 DWT DP2 vessel has been built in collaboration with DNV-GL and Eaglestar.According to AET, the vessel is operating to the highest operational and environmental standards, including full compliance with IMO NOx Tier 3 and SOx emission requirements.

AET Wins $245Mln Charter Deal with Shell

Petroleum and chemical tanker owner AET Tanker Holdings has been awarded three long-term time charter contracts by Brazil Shipping I Limited, a Shell group entity.The subsidiary of Malaysia’s maritime solutions and services provider MISC Berhad said in a press release that Under the terms of the deal it will own and operate the related newbuilding Suezmax Class Dynamic Positioning (DP) shuttle tankers for operations in international and Brazilian waters.The estimated contract value is USD 245 million and the charter is expected to commence in 2022.These long-term time charter contracts will further reinforce AETs position as one of the…

KNOT Orders New Tanker for Charter with BG Group

Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers AS (KNOT) has concluded a time-charter contract with Brazil Shipping 1 Limited, a subsidiary of the U.K. energy supplier BG GROUP PLC. This contract is for a maximum 20-year period starting from the second quarter of 2017 and follows the time-charter contracts that were concluded in September 2014 for two shuttle tankers. The new contract aims to use a 158,000 DWT Suezmax tankers built by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. and equipped with enhanced dynamic-positioning systems to shuttle crude oil processed in waters off Brazil. Upon delivery, expected to be in mid-2017, the vessel will commence operations under a time charter with BG (this will have a minimum term of 5 years).

KNOT Offshore Charters Out Crude Oil/Shuttle Tankship

KNOT Offshore Partners LP say they have fixed with Brazil Shipping I Limited (an affiliate of BG Group) the time charter of the crude oil/shuttle tanker 'Windsor Knutsen'. The hire rate for the initial term of two years is in line with the rate in the existing charter with BG, which has options to extend the term of the charter for three additional one-year periods. The charter will commence in or around the fourth quarter of 2015. If all three extension options are exercised, the Windsor Knutsen will operate for BG until the end of 2020. The shuttle tanker will operate in Brazil. BG has recently notified the KNOT Partnership that the Windsor Knutsen will be redelivered under its existing charter at the end of July 2014.
