Cargill and Maersk Tankers are aiming to unlock more competitive and transparent bunker pricing and improved customer service through a new strategic partnership combining their bunker volumes, offering a new bunker procurement service to tramp shipping companies and trading houses. First S-to-S LNG Transfer in Singapore
Singapore's state-owned Pavilion Energy has performed the first commercial ship-to-ship LNG bunkering in the Port of Singapore.The operation, the first of such in Singapore, comprised a reload of 2,000m3 of LNG onto a small-scale tanker at the newly-modified Secondary Jetty of the Singapore LNG (SLNG) Terminal, followed by a ship-to-ship transfer to the receiving heavy-lift commercial vessel.“Pavilion Energy’s first commercial ship-to-ship LNG bunkering operations in Singapore demonstrates our strong commitment and capability to deliver a comprehensive suite of LNG bunker supply solutions to Singapore and the region,” said Frédéric H.
ExxonMobil Joins with Eagle LNG, Crowley on LNG Marine Fueling
ExxonMobil, Eagle LNG Partners LLC (Eagle LNG Partners) and Crowley have signed an agreement to collaborate on the development of LNG as a marine fuel. The goal is to establish the storage and technical support necessary to provide safe, reliable LNG delivery for vessel operators bunkering in North America. The three companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 27, 2017. The parties will initially focus their efforts in Florida before expanding to other North American markets. ExxonMobil will provide its technical support and expertise to help the parties carry out safe bunkering operations and sell LNG bunker fuel to vessel operators.
