Calecore Bags Norwegian Contracts

Calecore has been contracted by ABB to supply a pre-lay survey of the Martin Linge PFS (Power from Shore) cable route to be conducted from the DP2 class vessel Seabed Worker with survey sensors mobilized to a 150HP Schilling HD WROV. The Martin Linge Field is located on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and the vessel will be mobilizing from Bergen, Norway in March 2015. The pre-lay survey consists of an ROV visual and magnetic survey along the 163 km center line. The PFS cable, which, when installed shall be the world’s longest HV AC submarine cable.

Earlier this year Calecore took investment from Netherlands based investment company VEP. VEP’s equity position sees the board of Calecore unchanged but the drill rig purchase is viewed as just the start of bringing significant and key assets to the balance sheet. Calecore Buys Geotechnical Rig for 'Highland Spirit'

Calecore Directors Sarah Cashmore, Steven Lloyd and Richard Parkinson announce purchase of a geotechnical drilling rig for their DP2 vessel 'Highland Spirit', and also that the company has secured a third month rotation for the Kara Sea project in the Russian Arctic. Earlier this year Calecore obtained an investment from Netherlands based investment company VEP which sees the board of Calecore unchanged, but the drill rig purchase is viewed as the start of bringing significant and key assets to the balance sheet.

Calecore Appoints Logan McLennan as Regional Manager

Building on their rapid growth and to support its international fleet activity, Calecore will be adding Singapore to its UK, Norway and Russian bases. Launching to coincide with a corporate event later this month for the Singapore F1 Grand Prix, the South East Asian hub will be actively promoting and servicing our ‘total’ Geophysical and Geotechnical Offshore Site Survey solutions from October. Calecore Appoints Geotechnical Division GM

Calecore announced the appointment of Mike Southall who commenced employment with the company in June 2013 as General Manager, Calegeo. Mike is a chartered engineer and geologist with nearly 30 years experience as a practicing geotechnical engineer and was previously General Manager for SEtech Ltd. He will be responsible for the leadership and day-to-day management of geotechnical operations, including the DP2 Highland Spirit and Calegeo’s range of seabed geotechnical equipment. calecore.com

Calecore's DP2 Survey Ship's African Tour of Duty

Calecore’s multi-role DP2 survey vessel 'Highland Spirit' completes operations offshore Tunisia and Tanzania. After completing a geotechnical investigation offshore Tunisia in December 2012 comprising a 50m composite borehole and 3 x 30m CPT’s in less than 3 days; preparations began for the Highland Spirit's transit south to Tanzania. For the Gulf of Aden significant security assessments and preparations were made and the vessel arrived safely in Dar es Salaam on the 29th January where the Geophysical survey team joined the vessel and set sail for the survey area on 30th January, 2013.
