Caterpillar Forms New Analytics & Innovation Division

To better capitalize on the growing importance and excitement of data analytics and to drive innovation to support customers, Caterpillar Inc. today announced the formation of a new division, Analytics & Innovation (AI), which will be led by Caterpillar Vice President Greg Folley. The division will bring together the people and resources that will foster a culture with innovation at the core, form a broad and connected analytics ecosystem and manage strategic third party relationships with providers like Chicago, Illinois-based Uptake, a start-up with which the company recently announced a technology and predictive analytics agreement.

Vice Presidents Rejig at Caterpillar Inc

Following the previous announcement regarding two group presidents’ retirements and new responsibilities for another group president, Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) today announced related changes at the vice president level, including the retirement of Vice President Steve Gosselin. After more than 35 years of outstanding service with the company, Steve Gosselin, 56, vice president with responsibility for the Customer Services Support Division, has elected to retire. Caterpillar's Vice President, Randy Krotowski, Quits

Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) announced that Randy Krotowski, vice president with responsibility for the Global Information Services (GIS) Division and the company’s Chief Information Officer (CIO), has elected to resign from the company to pursue other opportunities. Krotowski’s departure will be effective today. “Randy has more than 25 years of experience in the information technology field, and we wish him well as he pursues future endeavors,” said Brad Halverson, Caterpillar group president with responsibility for the Corporate Services Division. Caterpillar will immediately begin a global search to find a new GIS vice president and chief information officer.
