During the recent 3-day TOC Middle East exposition, Cavotec Port & Maritime expert Daniel Lexander delivered a presentation – “Technical Solutions to Reduce Emissions at Container Terminals” – at a Tech TOC seminar. The talk provided an overview of the latest technological developments and applications of these technologies at ports worldwide. One of the main topics covered was the electrification of RTG cranes previously powered by diesel, which helps reduce emissions and running costs.
