Taylor to head Trojan Battery's Global Workforce
Trojan Battery Co., LLC, the world’s leading manufacturer of deep-cycle batteries, has named Phillip Taylor as senior vice president, and chief human resources (HR) officer to lead the company’s global workforce of more than 1,000 employees. Taylor brings over 30 years of experience to this position, which includes his most recent tenure at legendary toy maker Mattel, Inc. Battery. Taylor is responsible for the development of corporate HR strategies for Trojan’s worldwide operations in the areas of recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance management and organizational development for the company. Daintith Named CFO, Rolls-Royce
Rolls-Royce announced that Stephen Daintith has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and as an executive director of Rolls-Royce Holdings plc. Stephen will take up his new role in 2017, succeeding David Smith who will leave Rolls-Royce after three years to pursue other business interests. Stephen Daintith is currently Chief Financial Officer of Daily Mail & General Trust plc. BAE Systems Awards Software Contract to SENER
The Spanish company SENER, Ingeniería y Sistemas S.A has closed a contract with U.K.-based BAE Systems PLC for the integration between FORAN CAD/CAM System and PTC’s Windchill PLM System to be used in the design and manufacturing activities of Type 26 Program. According to the contract, FORAN-Windchill Integration (FWI) will be implemented in BAE Systems Naval Ships in Scotstoun and Portsmouth. FWI is being deployed following a phased approach. BV Issues Statoil First O&G SEMS Certificate
Bureau Veritas has awarded certification to Statoil for meeting the Safety and Environmental Management Systems (SEMS) protocols developed by the Center for Offshore Safety (COS), an enhanced set of requirements in the offshore oil and gas industry. Statoil is the first organization to be issued a SEMS certificate by Bureau Veritas and is also the first offshore operator to successfully complete an independent assessment and demonstrate compliance with the offshore safety and environmental sustainability rule. The certification recognizes that Statoil Gulf of Mexico E&P’s management system meets industry and regulatory requirements for SEMS.

Roger Holm, M.Sc. (Econ.), has been appointed Senior Vice President, four-stroke, and member of the Ship Power management team as of 1 September 2013. In this position, he is responsible for Wärtsilä's four-stroke activities globally. Mr. Holm joined Wärtsilä in 1997 and has held several managerial positions, most recently leading the Seals and Bearings organization within Wärtsilä Services.
