Envirocleanse LLC inTank™ BWTS Completes Type Approval Testing

Envirocleanse Applies for BWTS Type Approval

Envirocleanse LLC recently submitted a Letter of Intent to the U.S. Coast Guard and the International Maritime Organization (IMO) indicating that the company will apply for Type Approval of its patented Envirocleanse inTank ballast water treatment system (BWTS). Envirocleanse, a division of Charter Brokerage, a BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY company, produces a BWTS called inTank, which combines a proprietary membrane technology for the production of the nontoxic, noncorrosive biocide hypochlorous acid (HOCl) with the U.S. Geological Survey patented “nozzle system” for dispersion in the ballast tanks. Seattle based marine consultancy, Glosten, is a strategic partner in this endeavor, holding the patent rights to the nozzle system and providing engineering expertise.

Denison Yacht Sales Adds to its Team of Brokers

Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Marina Del Ray, Calif. - Denison Yacht Sales, a full-service global yacht brokerage and yacht charter firm, recently hired eight new yacht brokers and a charter fleet manager. The new hires will expand the company's presence at its Florida and California offices. Joining the Fort Lauderdale brokerage are Skip Denison, Juan Pasch, Peter Quintal, and Gene Echols. Pasch will specifically be assisting in the sale of new Beneteau G.T.'s. New brokers to the California location include Dave Millett, Rick Peters, John Zagorski and Ed Gillespie.

International Shipholding Corporation Reports Q1 2011

Mobile, Alabama, April 27, 2011 – International Shipholding Corporation (NYSE: ISH)  announced the financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2011. The Company reported net income of $24.1 million for the three months ended March 31, 2011, which included a gain on the Dry Bulk transaction of $18.7 million. For the comparable three months ended March 31, 2010, the Company reported net income of $10.6 million, which included a gain of $1.4 million on the sale of a Panamax Bulk Carrier.

Genco Shipping Agreement for Time Charters

Genco Shipping & Trading Limited (NYSE:GNK) has reached an agreement to enter into a time charter for the Genco Claudius, a Capesize newbuilding, with Cargill International S.A. for 10.5 to 13.5 months at a rate of $36,000 per day, less a 5% third-party brokerage commission. The time charter for the Genco Claudius will commence upon delivery of the vessel, which is expected during December 2009, and is subject to the completion of definitive documentation. The company also announced it has reached an agreement to extend the time charter for the Genco Leader, a 1999-built Panamax vessel, with Baumarine AS for 10.5 to 13.5 months at a rate of $20,000 per day, less a 5% third party brokerage commission.

Genco to Sign Time Charter for Newly Acquired Vessels

Genco Shipping & Trading Limited announced that it has reached an agreement to enter into a time charter for two vessels it has recently agreed to acquire. The Genco Constantine, a Capesize newbuilding, is scheduled to be on charter with Cargill International S.A. for 54 to 62 months at a rate of $52,750 per day, less a 5% third party brokerage commission. The time charter for the Genco Constantine includes a 50% index-based profit sharing component. In addition, the Genco Warrior, a 2005-built Supramax vessel, is scheduled to be on charter with Hyundai Merchant Marine Co. Ltd. for 35 to 37.5 months at a rate of $38,750 per day, less a 5% third party brokerage commission.

Genco to Extend Charter for Handymax Vessel

Genco Shipping & Trading Limited announced it has reached an agreement in principle to extend the time charter for the Genco Marine, a 1996-built Handymax vessel currently on charter with NYK Bulkship Europe S.A. The extended time charter would be for an additional eleven to thirteen months at a rate of $24,000 per day, less a 5% third party brokerage commission. The time charter, subject to completion of definitive documentation, would commence following the expiration of the vessel's current time charter on or about March 29, 2007.

Diana Shipping , a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, today announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Ausca Shipping Limited, Hong Kong, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Dione. The gross charter rate is US$10,350 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum 14 months to about 17 months. The charter is expected to commence on January 23, 2018.

Genco to Sign Capesize Vessel Charter

Genco Shipping & Trading Limited (NYSE:GNK) announced that it has reached an agreement to enter into a time charter for the Genco Augustus, a 2007-built Capesize vessel, with Cargill International S.A. for approximately 10.5 to 12.5 months at a rate of $39,000 per day, less a 5% third-party brokerage commission. The time charter for the Genco Augustus is subject to the completion of definitive documentation and is expected to commence on or about January 23, 2010 following the vessel's scheduled drydocking. The previous time charter for the Genco Augustus was completed on January 10, 2010.

Genco Expands Time Charter Coverage to 63%

Genco Shipping & Trading Limited (NYSE:GNK) announced that it has reached an agreement to extend the time charter for the Genco Knight, a 1999-built Panamax vessel, with Swissmarine Services S.A. for approximately 11 to 13.5 months at a rate of $25,000 per day, less a 5% third-party brokerage commission. The time charter is expected to commence following the expiration of the vessel's current time charter on or about April 23, 2010 and is subject to the completion of definitive documentation. Currently, Genco has approximately 63% of its fleet's estimated available days secured on contracts for the remainder of 2010.  

Genco Shipping & Trading Time Charter

Genco Shipping & Trading Limited (NYSE:GNK) announced that it has reached an agreement to sign a time charter for the Genco Predator, a 2005-built Supramax vessel, with Pacific Basin Chartering Ltd. for approximately 11 to 13.5 months at a rate of $22,500 per day, less a 5% third-party brokerage commission. The time charter is expected to commence on or about May 7, 2010 and is subject to the completion of definitive documentation. Currently, Genco has approximately 67% of its fleet's estimated available days secured on contracts for the remainder of 2010.

Rickmers-Linie Sold to ZEABORN

Marking further consolidation in the breakbulk and project cargo sector, Rickmers Group said it has sold its business operations of Rickmers-Linie to ZEABORN. Rickmers-Linie GmbH & Cie. KG and MCC Marine Consulting & Contracting GmbH & Cie. Trinity Yachts to Acquire IYC

Trinity Yachts, LLC (Trinity) and International Yacht Collection (IYC) have announced today that they have signed a Letter of Intent for Trinity to acquire IYC. This acquisition will expand Trinity's capabilities and enable it to offer its clients the entire range of yachting services: new construction, repairs, brokerage, charter management, retail charter, yacht management, and crew placement. It is expected that the purchase should be completed by July 1, 2007.

Genco Takes Delivery of First Capesize Vessel

Genco Shipping & Trading Limited announced that it has taken delivery of the Genco Augustus, a January 2007-built 180,000 dwt Capesize vessel. The Genco Augustus is the first vessel to be delivered to the Company under Genco's previously announced agreement on July 18, 2007 to acquire nine Capsize vessels from companies within the Metrostar Management Corporation group. The Genco Augustus is currently on charter with Cargill International S.A. at a rate of $45,263 per day, less a 5% third party brokerage commission. The charter is due to expire between December 2009 and April 2010.

Genco Takes Delivery of Second Capesize Vessel

Genco Shipping & Trading Limited has taken delivery of the Genco Tiberius, a January 2007-built 175,000 dwt Capesize vessel. The Genco Tiberius is the second vessel to be delivered to the Company under Genco's previously announced agreement on July 18, 2007 to acquire nine Capesize vessels from companies within the Metrostar Management Corporation group. The Genco Tiberius is currently on charter with Cargill International S.A. at a rate of $45,263 per day, less a 5% third party brokerage commission. The charter is due to expire between January 2010 and May 2010.

Genco to Sign Charters for Panamax Vessels

Genco Shipping & Trading Limited announced it has reached an agreement in principle to enter into a time charter for the Genco Acheron, a 1999-built Panamax vessel, with STX Panocean Co. Ltd. The time charter would be for eleven to thirteen months at a rate of $30,000 per day, less a 5% third party brokerage commission. The company also announced it has reached an agreement in principle to commence a time charter for the Genco Leader, a 1999-built Panamax vessel, with AS Klaveness Chartering for twenty-three to twenty-five months at a net rate of $25,650 per day, equivalent to a gross rate of approximately $27,000. Since February of 2006, the vessel traded in the Baumarine Pool, a spot pool of approximately 80 vessels.

Baltic Trading Takes Delivery of Drybulk Vessels

Baltic Trading Limited (NYSE: BALT), a drybulk company focused on the spot market, has taken delivery of the Baltic Bear, a Capesize newbuilding, and the Baltic Jaguar, a 2009-built Supramax vessel. The Baltic Bear and the Baltic Jaguar are the third and fourth vessels, respectively, to be delivered to the company under agreements signed in February 2010 to acquire four 2009-built Supramax drybulk vessels from an unaffiliated third party as well as two Capesize newbuildings from another unaffiliated third party. The Baltic Bear was delivered to its charterer, Cargill International S.A., on May 16, 2010 to commence a spot market-related time charter for 11 to 13.5 months.

Genco Plans to Extend Time Charter for the Genco Beauty

Genco Shipping & Trading Limited announced it has reached an agreement to extend the time charter for the Genco Beauty, a 1999-built Panamax vessel currently on charter with Cargill International S.A. The extended time charter would be for an additional 23 to 26 months at a rate of $31,500 per day, less a 5% third party brokerage commission. The time charter, subject to completion of definitive documentation, is expected to commence following the expiration of the vessel's current time charter in June of 2007. Additionally, the Company announced that the previously disclosed time charter for the Genco Vigour is expected to commence following the expiration of the vessel's current time charter on or about May 5, 2007.

Aries Renews Bareboat Charters for Two Tankers

Aries Maritime Transport Limited announced it has renewed the bareboat charters for the Stena Compass, a 2006-built double-hull products tanker, and its sister ship, the Stena Compassion, with Stena Group. 2.5% in brokerage commissions. The charters also include a profit-sharing component for Aries equal to 30% of the actual Time Charter Equivalent rate above $26,000 per day per vessel. The charters are scheduled to commence upon expiration of the vessels' current charter. Aries also announced that the CMA CGM Seine, a 1990-built container vessel, is expected to be redelivered to the Company on July 20, 2008 following completion of its scheduled voyage and cargo operations.
