Elektrans, CST & Marine Service to establish Chemtrans

Elektrans Group has joined hands with German tank operator Chemikalien Seetransport (CST) and the consultancy and engineering company Marine Service GmbH to establish a joint venture -- Chemtrans India Pvt Ltd. "Elektran Group and a company affiliated to the reputed German tanker operator Chemikalien Seetransport GmbH (CST) and the consultancy and engineering company Marine Service GmbH are pleased to announce that they have concluded a joint venture agreement to set up 'Chemtrans India Private Limited," Elektrans group said in a statement. An agreement setting gears in motion was signed by Daniel Chopra (Executive Chairman, Elektrans Group) and Christian Krämer (Managing Director, CST) in New Delhi, India.

MLC Demands Generate Rise in Defibrillator Orders

Martek Marine reported a significant increase in marine defibrillator sales in 2013, up 475% on 2012, with over four months of the year remaining. These sales include an order of more than 100 AEDs to Swire’s entire China Navigation fleet, as Swire beat the new Maritime Labour Convention’s (MLC) August deadline to have a marine defibrillator on every vessel, with crew trained in its use. Other customers include Bernhard Schulte Management, Chemikalien Seatransport and Topaz Energy & Marine.

Teomaki Signs Contract with CST

has won a contract to supply their Ship Management System to CST – Chemikalien Seetransport GmBH. The contract is for the installation of the Teomaki.SM application containing fleet management, technical and quality administration on board 6 newbuildings, together with conversion of existing systems. The project will also involve the provision of training and general consultancy to CST. Hamburg-based CST is committed to the safe, flexible and reliable management and operation of state-of-the-art, purpose-built sea-going vessels. Xantic to Deliver AMOS Maintenance to Chemikalien Seetransport Vessels

Xantic has announced the signing of a contract agreement with Chemikalien Seetransport, a Ship Owner and Management Company specialised in the transportation of chemicals, products and gas. Xantic will deliver AMOS Maintenance to ten vessels. Headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, Chemikalien Seetransport (CST) offers services in the management and operation of sophisticated specialized carriers. In early 2003, CST acquired two vessels with AMOS Maintenance already installed onboard. Following the survey and transfer of the licences for these ships, negotiations were started to implement AMOS Maintenance on other CST carriers. These have now been successfully concluded, and a contract agreement made to install AMOS Maintenance on eight further vessels.
