Lamprell Gets LOI to Build Jackup Pair
Lamprell announced it has received a letter of intent (LOI) from International Maritime Industries Company (IMI), the Saudi maritime joint venture in which Lamprell is a partner, confirming the intent to award Lamprell the contract for the construction and delivery of two jackup drilling units.The rigs will be built collaboratively between the IMI and Lamprell for delivery to IMI's end client. Lamprell Wins Offshore Wind Project
Lamprell announced that it has been selected by GeoSea Procurement & Shipping Luxembourg SA, a wholly owned subsidiairy of GeoSea NV, the lead engineering, procurement, construction and installation contractor on the Moray East offshore wind farm, to fabricate jacket foundations for the project.Lamprell, the provider of fabrication, engineering and contracting services to the offshore energy industry, said it will fabricate 45 out of approximately 100 jacket foundations required for the wind farm, plus three jackets for the offshore substations also being installed for use on the project.Total project value is in excess of $200 million.
Lamprell, GustoMSC join forces to develop Jackup Rig design
Lamprell announced its exclusive collaboration with GustoMSC to develop the Lamprell Jackup-43 (LJ43) jackup rig design, creating an advanced drilling rig with the highest level of safe, efficient and reliable drilling capabilities. The LJ43 drilling rig will combine Lamprellâs system integration capability, detailed engineering expertise and construction experience with the robust and advanced technology of GustoMSC designs. The rig utilises GustoMSCâs leg design with a custom designed hull and living quarters developed by Lamprell. It includes various high-end technology features such as a new innovative blowout preventer handling system and enhanced skidding capabilities via a X-Y cantilever, which will enable optimised and highly efficient drilling.
Lamprell Sees Full-year Revenue at Low End of Guidance
British oil rig builder Lamprell sees full-year revenue slipping to the bottom of its guidance range because of stagnant oil sector investment and losses at a windfarm project, it said on Wednesday, sending its shares sharply lower. Eighth Lamprell Rig for NDC
Lamprell announces the completion of construction on a further jackup drilling rig, the âAl Hudairiyatâ, and its delivery to Abu Dhabiâs National Drilling Company (âNDCâ), within budget and as scheduled. Completion and delivery of the jackup rig was marked at an inauguration ceremony held at Lamprellâs Hamriyah facility in the U.A.E. yesterday. The rig was completed to the highest standards of quality using the latest in drilling system technology from our suppliers and will depart the facility in Q1 en route to its drilling location in Abu Dhabi. The contract for the NDC âAl Hudairiyatâ rig was signed in November 2014 and this is the eighth rig in a series of nine being built and delivered by Lamprell to NDC.
Lamprell Delivers Jackup Rig to NDC
Lamprell announced the completion of construction on the jackup drilling rig, âAl Gharbiaâ, and its delivery to Abu Dhabiâs National Drilling Company (âNDCâ). Completion and delivery of the jackup rig, on time and on budget, was marked at an inauguration ceremony held at Lamprellâs Hamriyah facility in the UAE on 22 December. The rig will depart the facility in late December en route to its drilling location in Abu Dhabi. The contract for the NDC âAl Gharbiaâ rig was signed in November 2014 and this is the seventh rig in a series of nine rigs being built and delivered by Lamprell to NDC. All nine rigs have been designed according to the Cameron LeTourneau Super 116E (Enhanced) Class design. The remaining two rigs are proceeding on schedule and will be delivered as planned in 2017. Mr.
