Intelsat, Marlink Partnership Fruitful

Marlink and Intelsat S.A., operator of the world’s first Globalized Network, announced that itsstrategic agreement – initiated in 2014 to introduce improved maritime offerings to the marketplace  – continues to pay dividends for the companies and the maritime end-users. Marlink continues to roll out additional connectivity services via Intelsat’s Globalized Network which includes secure access to Intelsat’s global Ku-band capacity and terrestrially managed network, IntelsatOne. Marlink is now preparing to deliver a quantum improvement in throughput that will help satisfy end-user demand as the first of the Intelsat EpicNG satellites is on schedule to be integrated into the network solution in the second quarter of 2016.

COMSYS Report Confirms Intellian's Leadership

The 4th Edition of the COMSYS Maritime VSAT Report confirms Intellian as the leading company within the stabilised antenna market, with a 35.6% share of the market. “Intellian now leads the market under a single brand having achieved spectacular results since 2012,” the report comments. Stabilised antenna systems are the critical hardware component of all marine VSAT services but the market has proved cautious over new products, based on expectations of associated high cost and reliability risks. KVH Increases Mini-VSAT Broadband Network Capacity

KVH Industries, Inc. has completed several capacity increases for its mini-VSAT Broadband network to support heightened demand from customers engaged in a wide range of commercial maritime activities around the world, including offshore oil and gas, fishing, and shipping, the company announced today. Utilizing 17 satellites and 24 transponders to provide global coverage, KVH’s mini-VSAT Broadband is the most extensive C/Ku-band maritime VSAT network in the world, and is designed for rapid expansion by accessing abundant commercial satellite capacity.

KVH Industries, Inc. provides 60% more capacity for EMEA region of mini-VSAT broadband network. The company has just completed a major upgrade to the mini-VSAT Broadbandsm network that will provide customers in Europe, the Middle East, and northern Africa (EMEA) with a 60% increase in satellite capacity. 500th TracPhone V7 Broadband Antenna
