NG Moves Corporate Office to D.C. Region

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) announced a decision to move its corporate office from Los Angeles to the Washington D.C. region by 2011. The company is engaged in a search to identify a specific location within the Washington, D.C. region, including the District, Maryland and Virginia. It plans to complete the search by spring 2010 and open the new corporate office by summer 2011. "As a global security company with a large customer base in the Washington, D.C. region, this move will enable us to better serve our nation and customers," said Wes Bush, chief executive officer and president. The new corporate office will include approximately 300 people.

Northrop Grumman Moves to Virginia

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC), announced that it will locate its new corporate office in Virginia, concluding a search that also included the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia. "We are pleased to have identified Virginia as the home for our new corporate office. Virginia, Maryland and the District put forward compelling, competitive offers. Our final decision was driven largely by facility considerations, proximity to our customers, and overall economics," said Wes Bush, chief executive officer and president. Northrop Grumman is currently conducting negotiations with several building owners in the Falls Church/Arlington area, with a specific building selection to be announced.

VT Halter Marine Moves Corporate Offices

VT Halter Marine Inc., a subsidiary of Vision Technologies Systems Inc., will relocate its corporate office to its Pascagoula Operations in Jackson County, Miss., effective July 1, 2004. VT Halter Marine currently owns six shipyards in Mississippi, two of which are fully operational. Boyd E. Ribcraft Expands Production Facility

Ribcraft a builder of professional grade rigid inflatable boats (RIBs), headquartered in Marblehead, Massachusetts, announced that it is expanding their production facilities to meet the growing demand from professional and recreational customers. "As most boat builders are scaling production way back, we are fortunate to be growing and expanding. More and more recreational boaters and marine professionals are turning to RIBs because of their inherent efficiencies and superior performance over solid sided boats", said Ribcraft President, Brian Gray. He continued, "The marine industry is in trouble with most segments reporting decreases of as much as 40% from the previous year. The exception is the RIB market.

Harkand, Siem Offshore Sign Charter Agreement

Harkand has entered into a charter agreement with Siem Offshore for the Offshore Subsea Construction Vessel (OSCV) Siem Spearfish. The agreement covers a firm period of five years with three yearly options and shall commence in May 2014. The vessel will support the development of the Harkand group in the provision of inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) services in the deep water Gulf of Mexico. The DP2 vessel, built by Vard in Norway, has a 250t crane and will be fitted with two Triton XLX ROVs, as well as a complete survey spread. The Spearfish addition to the Harkand fleet marks an important step forward in the company’s commitment to deep water activities.

Borets Names Langley as HSE Manager

Borets, a company in engineering, manufacturing, sales and service of electric submersible pump (ESP) systems, has named David Langley as North American HSE manager. Based at Borets’ U.S. corporate office in Houston, Langley will be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs and policies that align with the company’s corporate standards for health, safety and environmental compliance. Langley earned a Master of Science degree in operations management from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor of Science in organizational management from Bethel University in Tennessee.

Alan C. McClure Associates Relocates Corporate Office

Alan C. McClure Associates (ACMA), a naval architecture and engineering firms, recently completed relocating its corporate office to 2929 Briarpark, Suite 220, Houston, Texas 77042. The company’s new headquarters occupies 6000+ square feet and includes an expanded drafting area as well as a room dedicated to housing the company’s extensive computer systems that provide specialized analysis in-house and that can be accessed from remote locations. “Although we moved less than a mile from our original location that served the company for 35 years, our new location has given us the opportunity to reorganize our offices to better fit the growth we’ve experienced over the past decade,” said ACMA Vice President Darrel Harvey.

Hutchison Set to Retire After 42 Years

John C. G. Hutchison closes a 42 year career at this year’s Workboat Show in New Orleans. Born in Philly on April Fool’s Day 1941, John Hutchison played collegiate golf at Duke University and Moravian College, and coached the golf team at Lehigh University before being drafted in 1966. A Viet Nam vet, 2nd LT, Infantry Branch, John returned home in 1970 and worked at the Bethlehem Steel Corporate Office in Bethlehem, PA, and other Bethlehem offices in Burns Harbor IN, Johnstown PA, and Sparrows Pt., MD.

Greene's Energy Name Regional Manager

Juan Gonzalez Jr. appointed as Western Regional Manager for the company’s Testing and Services business unit. Based in Alice, Texas, Gonzalez will oversee the drilling and construction operations for projects in both South and West Texas regions. In addition to these responsibilities, he will oversee Torque & Testing Services activity in Pleasanton. Prior to his new role, Gonzalez was the South Texas Regional Manager for Greene’s Energy. “Juan is highly-qualified and has proven to be a great leader,” said  Greene’s Energy Group President Eric Langlinais.

Willard Marine Names New Sales Director

Willard Marine, a 56-year-old builder of composite and aluminum boats, announced the appointment of Taylor Hunter as director of sales. Hunter, an experienced senior-level sales executive, will assume overall responsibility for the company’s sales in the U.S. and internationally. He will be based in Willard Marine’s corporate offices in Anaheim, Calif. Hunter has held senior sales and management positions with Karl Storz Industrial America, Eagle Pacific Powerboats, Your Office Agent, Channel Vision Technology, iLeads.com and Olympus America.

Parker Drilling Moves Corporate Office

Parker Drilling Company, a global provider of drilling services and equipment, recently announced that it intends to relocate its headquarters to Houston. The move will affect 116 employees in the company's Tulsa, Okla., home office. Some of the Tulsa employees will be asked to relocate to Houston, where the company currently maintains a regional office for its Gulf of Mexico (GOM) drilling operations. Employees who are not requested to relocate to Houston or who decide to not move will be offered a severance package. The company plans to make the move to Houston this summer leaving a small regional office in Tulsa.

SeaWave Launches New Communications Station

ASA Members Respond to USS Port Royal

During the morning hours of February 7, 2009 three members of the American Salvage Association (ASA) provided salvage support to the U.S. Navy's Supervisor of Salvage to respond to the grounding of the USS Port Royal outside of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Willard Names Wang as New Director

Willard Marine, a 56-year-old builder of composite and aluminum boats, today announced the appointment of Ning Wang as director of operations and program management. Wang will be responsible for overseeing Willard Marine’s planning, purchasing, stockroom and IT operations. He will be based in the company’s corporate offices in Anaheim, Calif. Wang brings over a decade of management experience in the wireless and technology industries to Willard Marine. He has held senior operations, business development and management positions at AnyDATA Corporation and Transaction Network Services.
