Vroon Opts for MERUS Technology on a 4th Ship

Vroon Offshore Service B.V. is a diversified international shipping company and is primarily active in and around the North Sea, with a fleet of 90 offshore-vessels. After installing Pronomar - MERUS rings on Vroon sister vessels VOS Sympathy, VOS Sweet and VOS Shine, Pronomar has also equipped VOS Pace with its Pronomar – MERUS rings. The VOS Pace is the first of six PX121-type Platform Supply Vessels, designed by ULSTEIN. The vessel has been constructed at Cosco Guandong Shipyard (China) and is intended for operation in European waters.

Sentinel Orders ERRV at Cosco Guandong

China's COSCO (Guangdong) Shipyard has secured a contract from Aberdeen-based Sentinel Marine to build a TAERRV (Tanker Assist / Emergency Response / Rescue / Field Support Vessel). Cosco says the vessel’s expected delivery date is in the first quarter of 2017. Sentinel Marine has an option to order an additional TAERRV within six months. The shipbuilder and the client have agreed to keep the contract price confidential and the contract includes an option for a second vessel. According to a press release by the yard, COSCO Guangdong and Sentinel Marine have agreed to keep the contract price confidential. The announcement comes as Cosco Shipyard urges cooperation between yards and rig owners during the offshore market's current downturn.

COSCO Guandong Shipyard to Construct PSVs

COSCO Corporation (Singapore) Limited informs that its subsidiary COSCO (Guangdong) Shipyard has had contract options taken up for the construction of 4 Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs). The new vessels are scheduled for delivery from 2Q 2016 to 1Q 2017, and the shipowner has also secured options for two additional platform supply vessels of this type. The contracts for the PSVs have a total value of approximately US$ 120-million.

Two PSV Contracts for COSCO China Yard

COSCO Singapore subsidiary COSCO Guandong to construct two Platform Supply Vessels (PSV's). The contract is with a European ship owner for the construction of two PX121 PSV's at a value of approximately US$54-million in total. Delivery of the two vessels is expected in the first quarter of 2015. Additionally, the ship owner has an option, to be exercised within six months, for construction of two more of the same type of PSV. COSCO say that these two contracts are not expected to have a material impact on the net tangible assets and earnings per share of the Company for the year ending 31 December 2013.

China Shipyard Delivers Handymax Bulk Carrier

COSCO Corporation (Singapore) Limited subsidiary COSCO (Guandong) Shipyard has successfully delivered the vessel to a European owner. The bulk carrier of 57000 dwt, named Klima measures 189.99 meters in LOA, 32.26 meters in breadth and 18 meters in depth. COSCO Guandong is a 51% owned subsidiary of COSCO Shipyard Group Ltd. COSCO add that the delivery documents were signed by and between COSCO Guangdong and the buyer on 8 January 2013.

Chinese Shipyard Gets Large US Orders for PSV's

COSCO (Guandong Shipyard) gets order for four Platform Supply Vessels (PSV's) option for six more from US shipowner Four shipbuilding contracts have been signed between COSCO's Guandong Shipyard and an American ship owner for the construction of four UT 771 CDL Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs) at a value of over US$ 105 million in total. Delivery of the above four vessels is expected to commence in early 2014. In addition, the same ship owner has options to declare up to another six contracts for the construction of the same UT 771 CDL PSVs, which have a value of over US$ 160 million in total. COSCO say they will make announcements as and when the shipbuilding contracts subject to such options are declared effective.
