Aerial Drones Perform Tanker Survey

Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) survey and inspection firm Cyberhawk has completed the first full ABS Intermediate Hull Survey 4 on an oil tanker using UAVs.Cyberhawk performed full class inspection across 19 tanks on board an oil tanker while at a shipyard in Singapore. This included 12 Cargo Oil Tanks (COT), two slop tanks and five ballast tanks. Attending was the American Bureau for Shipping (ABS) to ensure the quality of the inspection complied with the specific ABS rules (ESP) set for tankers.

Cyberhawk shortlisted for Offshore Achievement Awards

Cyberhawk Innovations is delighted to be recognised as a finalist at the 2017 Offshore Achievement Awards for the categories Safety Innovation and Export Achievement. Cyberhawk's Key role in UK Drone Guidelines Development

Cyberhawk Innovations, the world leader in aerial inspection and survey using Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), otherwise known as drones, has welcomed Oil & Gas UK’s new guidelines on the use of drones in offshore environments. Cyberhawk played a key role in the drafting of the ‘Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operations Management Standards and Guidelines’, which were produced by Oil & Gas UK in conjunction with a working group. As well as Cyberhawk, this group included duty holders who have used UAS, industry and aviation safety experts and a limited number of additional UAS operators. Cyberhawk were the first company to operate UAS in the North Sea back in early 2012, and has been one of the most significant contributors to the development of the guidelines.

Cyberhawk Lands in Portuguese Market

Cyberhawk Innovations continues to bolster its international credentials through a new partnership with Portugal’s leading engineering service provider and contractor Construção e Manutenção Electromecânica (CME). The agreement will see customers in Portuguese speaking markets benefit from a unique combination of Cyberhawk’s industry leading cloud based asset management software, iHawk, teamed with CME’s detailed local knowledge and UAV solution. The partnership is a significant strategic boost for Cyberhawk’s growing global expansion plans, and strengthens CME’s position as a leading innovator in its field. Cyberhawk CEO Shortlisted for EY Entrepreneur Award

Chief executive of Livingston-based Cyberhawk Innovations, Craig Roberts, has been shortlisted as a regional finalist in the 2016 EY (Ernst and Young) Entrepreneur of the Year Awards for Scotland. Formed in 2008, Cyberhawk has grown significantly to become the world leader in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) inspection and survey and in the conversion of drone captured data into powerful asset management information in the cloud. Craig was appointed in 2012 when the company decided an experienced CEO was required to build on its progress to date, develop a growth strategy, secure funding and take the business to the next level. During his time with the company, Craig has driven sales to four times the level of when he started and created almost 30 new jobs.

Cyberhawk Sinks Claws into US O&G Market

Cyberhawk Innovations, the world leader in aerial inspection and survey using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), is set to boost its international credentials with the launch of a Houston office in the USA. The new office comes as a result of increasing demand from existing oil and gas customers who recognise the significant cost and time savings on offer from UAV inspection and want to utilise Cyberhawk’s expertise for their USA operations. Cyberhawk has already undertaken oil and gas inspection work in North America, for operators in Canada, and has a number of projects lined up with oil and gas supermajors in the US over the coming months.

Cyberhawk Attracts £2m investment

Cyberhawk, the world leader in Remotely Operated Aerial Vehicle (ROAV) inspection and survey, and a pioneer in the conversion of drone-captured data into powerful asset information, is targeting expansion following agreement on a new £2 million funding package from Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks’ Growth Finance team. The funding will enable Livingston-based Cyberhawk to accelerate growth, create jobs, develop its products and services and expand its global footprint, ensuring the company continues to lead the commercial development of the ROAV inspection market. Established in 2008, Cyberhawk is headquartered in Livingston, Scotland, with international offices in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Decom North Sea to Host Lunch and Learn

Decom North Sea (DNS), the offshore oil and gas decommissioning forum, will host a lunch and learn event to share valuable insight into decommissioning, including lessons learned from recent projects. The event will take place on Wednesday, January 15, at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, Aberdeen, from 12-2 p.m. The event will include a presentation from Offshore Installation Services (OIS), a contractor specialising in decommissioning project management that recently completed its 17th offshore campaign by permanently abandoning six wells in the Central North Sea.
