Greek shipowner Diana Shipping on Wednesday announced it has placed an order for two new methanol dual-fuel Kamsarmax bulk carriers from China's Tsuneishi Group (Zhoushan) Shipbuilding Inc.The 81,200 dwt newbuilds were ordered at a purchase price of $46 million each, Diana said. Diana Shipping Sells Its Oldest Vessel

Diana Shipping on Tuesday announced it has reached a deal to sell its oldest vessel, an 18-year-old panamax bulk carrier.The Greek shipowner said it has reached a memorandum of agreement through one of its subsidiaries to sell the 76,942 dwt vessel Artemis to an undisclosed third-party buyer for $12.99 million. Dry bulk shipping company Diana Shipping announced it has entered into a time charter contract with Solebay Shipping Cape Company Limited, Hong Kong, for one of its Capesize vessels, Semirio—a 174,261 dwt bulk carrier built in 2007.The gross charter rate is $14,150 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period until minimum November 20, 2024 up to maximum January 30, 2025. Diana Shipping Takes Delivery of 2016-built Ultramax

Dry bulk shipping company Diana Shipping announced it has taken delivery of a 2016-built Ultramax bulk carrier.Diana, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, had agreed to purchase the 63,379 dwt DSI Drammen (formerly Nord Potomac) in February 2023.The company also announced that, through the same wholly-owned subsidiary, it entered into a time charter contract with IMC Shipping Co. Pte. Ltd., at a gross charter rate of US$18,250 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period until minimum April 10, 2024 up to maximum June 10, 2024. The charter is expected to commence on April 15, 2023.The employment of DSI Drammen is anticipated to generate approximately $6.5 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter, Diana said.

Dry bulk shipping company Diana Shipping announced it it has entered into a time charter contract with Cargill for one of its Kamsarmax vessels.Under the deal, the 2011-built, 82,165 dwt Leonidas P. Bulk carrier firm Diana Shipping said Wednesday it had has taken delivery of the 2016-built DSI Aquarius ultramax dry bulk vessel of 60,309 dwt. The ship, which used to be called STH Kure, is one of nine new Ultramax dry bulk vessels that the company had agreed to buy in August 2022. Diana Shipping also said that it had entered into a time charter contract for the vessel with Engelhart CTP Freight (Switzerland) SA, at a gross charter rate of US$14,200 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period until minimum January 10, 2024 up to maximum March 25, 2024. Greece-based dry-bulk shipping firm Diana Shipping has taken delivery of the m/v DSI Phoenix (formerly “STH Chiba”), a 2017-built Ultramax dry bulk vessel of 60,456 dwt. The vessel is one of nine modern Ultramax dry bulk vessels that the Company entered into an agreement to purchase in August 2022.Including the newly delivered m/v DSI Phoenix, Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet now consists of 37 dry bulk vessels (4 Newcastlemax, 11 Capesize, 5 Post-Panamax, 6 Kamsarmax, 8 Panamax and 3 Ultramax).
