New CEO at GulfNav Leads Expansion Plans

Dubai-based shipping company Gulf Navigation Holding PJSC (GulfNav) has announced in a press conference at Rose Rayhaan by Rotana April 19 its expansion plans to increase its assets under management and service-based revenue. The shipping company also revealed the appointment of Khamis Juma Buamim as the new Board Member, Managing Director and Group CEO by the Board of Directors during the event. GulfNav Unveils Expansion Plans

Gulf Navigation Holding PJSC (GulfNav), the Dubai-based shipping company, has announced in a press conference at Rose Rayhaan by Rotana today (Tuesday, April 19, 2016), its key expansion plans to increase its assets under management and service-based revenue. ISS Inks Service Pact with Technip

Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) and Techniphave signed a contract to provide marine agency services and logistics for the Rashid C project in the Middle East. Currently under offshore execution by Technip for Dubai Petroleum Establishment (DPE), ISS will provide a range of services for the Rashid C project including port agency, crew transfer, visa assistance and cargo services. ISS’ support for offshore logistics is expected to run throughout the rest of 2015 and into the first quarter of 2016 including a dedicated marine operations team member based at Technip’s operations office at Dubai Dry Docks. SPE Awards DNV GL For Its Contribution To Asset Integrity

Substantial Middle East Subsea Contract for Technip

Technip say they have been awarded a contract by Dubai Petroleum Establishment (DPE) covering the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of the Jalilah B field development project, located nearly 90 kilometers offshore Dubai (United Arab Emirates, UAE), at water depth reaching 60 meters. Technip’s scope of work consists of the construction and installation of the Jalilah B platform, a 900-ton deck, a 500-ton jacket, as well as 13 new risers(2) on existing platforms. It also includes the installation of 110 kilometers of pipelines ranging from 6 to 24 inches in diameter.

Middle East Subsea Contract for Technip

The contract is for work in the South West Fatah and Falah fields, located 90 kilometers offshore Dubai, United Arab Emirates, at a water depth up to 53 meters. The EPIC contract scope includes the replacement of a 12-inch gas pipeline and six 18-inch water injection pipelines. Technip’s operating center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, will execute the contract, which is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2012. Technip’s flagship S-Lay installation vessel, the G1201, will be used for pipelaying, as well as a diving support vessel. Keppel Delivers 3rd Jackup Rig

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) has delivered the third of four high efficiency jackup rigs to Maersk Drilling (previously Maersk Contractors), on time and incident-free. The rig was named Mærsk Resolve, by Mrs. Sun-hee Madsen, spouse of Mr Erik Madsen, Maersk Drilling’s Site Manager (Overall Projects), at a ceremony today. “Keppel FELS looks forward to deliver as many as 14 rigs in 2009. Maersk Names Jack-up Rig No. 1

On January 30, Maersk Contractors named the latest addition to the fleet. The new high efficiency jack-up rig is the first in a series of four identical rigs currently under construction for Maersk Contractors. The following three highly advanced, next generation 350ft jack-up rigs will be delivered from Keppel FELS over the coming 15-20 months. The Sponsor, Mrs. Susanne Hemmingsen, wife of Partner in the Firm A.P. Moller and CEO of Maersk Contractors, Claus V. Hemmingsen, named the new rig MÆRSK RESILIENT at a ceremony at Keppel FELS in Singapore. The event was attended by over 400 guests. The drilling performance of the MÆRSK RESILIENT will be 20% more efficient than that of a conventional jack-up rig.

Dubai Offshore Oil Fields Transition to New Operator

The Government of Dubai and Dubai Petroleum Company (DPC) announced a joint agreement that will change the operating arrangements for Dubai offshore oilfields. Effective April 2007, DPC will end its role as operator, marking the end of Dubai's first offshore oil concession and the beginning of a new phase in which the Emirate of Dubai will directly control its offshore oil resources. DPC is wholly owned by ConocoPhillips and part of the DPC/Dubai Marine Areas Limited (DUMA) consortium involving interests from Total (France), Repsol YPF (Spain), RWE Dea AG, a subsidiary of RWE AG (Germany) and Wintershall AG, a subsidiary of BASF (Germany).
