Shipowner Diana Shipping on Friday announced it has entered into a pair of time charter contracts for two of its owned bulk carrier vesselsWestern Bulk Carriers AS will charter the DSI Aquila $13,300 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period until minimum September 15, 2023 up to maximum November 15, 2023. The charter is expected to commence on November 22, 2022. The 60,309 dwt Ultramax dry bulk vessel was built in 2015.In addition, EGPN Bulk Carrier Co., Limited, will charter the Houston for $13,000 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period until minimum July 1, 2024 up to maximum August 31, 2024. The charter is expected to commence on November 21, 2022.

Diana Shipping, a dry bulk shipping company, has signed an agreement to sell the 2001-built Panamax dry bulk vessel “Oceanis” to an unnamed buyer. Separately, the company has secured a charter for its Capesize bulk carrier "New York."The company said Friday that the Oceanis vessel would be delivered to the buyer by April 16, 2021, at the latest, for a sale price of US$5.75 million before commissions.Separately, Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with EGPN Bulk Carrier Co., Hong Kong, for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels, the m/v New York. The gross charter rate is US$14,000 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period until minimum April 16, 2022, up to maximum June 30, 2022.

Diana Shipping, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, has entered into a time charter contract with EGPN Bulk Carrier, Hong Kong, for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels, M/V Boston. The gross charter rate is $17,000 per day, minus a 5 percent commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum 16 months to maximum 19 months. The charter commenced yesterday. The m/v Boston was chartered, as previously announced, to Clearlake Shipping Pte. Ltd., Singapore, at a gross charter rate of $13,000 per day, minus a 4.75 percent commission paid to third parties, for the agreed period of the time charter. Boston is a 177,828 dwt Capesize dry bulk vessel built in 2007.
