Eidesvik-Agalas JV to Build New IMR Vessel on Charter with Reach Subsea

Eidesvik Extends Contract with DEME for Viking Neptun CSV

Eidesvik Offshore, a Norwegian offshore vessel owner, has signed a ship management contract extension with DEME for construction support vessel (CSV) Viking Neptun.The three-year extension also includes a two-year option for further extension, according to Eidesvik Offshore.The company has provided full technical management, crewing and operation of Viking Neptun since December 2022.In November the same year, Eidesvik Offshore completed the sale of Viking Neptun CSV to DEME.“This extension is a testament to the exceptional performance of our dedicated crews.

Eidesvik Offshore to Sell Three Laid Up Seismic Vessels

Eidesvik Offshore has entered into agreements to sell its three remaining seismic vessels, Veritas Viking, Vantage, and Viking Vision, to two separate buyers. All the vessels are in lay-up and treated as held for sale in the company accounts. Eidesvik Offshore did not say who the buyers were.The company will, at completion of the sales, expected during this summer, recognize a total gain of approximately NOK 63 million (currently around $5,6 million).Gitte Gard Talmo, President & CEO of Eidesvik commented: "We are pleased to announce the sale of these non-strategic assets with a solid gain. Wintershall Dea Charters Eidesvik Offshore's Dual-fuel Supply Vessel

After securing a contract for its Viking Princess supply ship with Wintershall DEA on Thursday, Eidesvik Offshore said Friday it had won a deal for the Viking Queen vessel with the same oil company.The contract for the 2008-built Viking Queen is for 12 months, with options for further extensions. Eidesvik Offshore's Supply Vessel Secures Charter Extension with Wintershall Dea

Oil and gas company Wintershall Dea has declared an option to extend the contract for the supply vessel Viking Princess.The 89,6 meters long vessel, owned by Eidesvik Offshore, will start work under the extension from July 2023 in direct continuation of the current contract. With the latest charter extension, the Viking Princess will stay with Wintershall Dea, until January 2024. Financial details of the extension were not disclosed.According to Eidesvik Offshore, the Viking Princess was the world’s first offshore vessel with a battery hybrid solution replacing a traditional generator set.

Alma's Ammonia Fuel Cell System Gets AIP from DNV

Norway-based Alma Clean Power announced its design of a 1 MW ammonia fueled marine solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) system received approval in principle (AIP) from classification society DNV.The SOFC system design has been evaluated for compliance with DNV class rules and IMO guidelines for fuel cell installations. Eidesvik Offshore Says Revenue, Backlog on the Rise

Norwegian offshore support vessel operator Eidesvik Offshore posted what it said was the second consecutive quarter with a revenue level not seen since 2016.The company's revenue was NOK 190.4 million, an increase of 9% compared to Q3 2021. EBITDA increased by 12% to NOK 91 million vs NOK 81.5 million. The company’s operating result was NOK 262.9 million, up from NOK 1 million in Q3 2021."During the period, Eidesvik increased its backlog substantially through the signing of multiple long-term contract awards with an estimated value of NOK 690 million.

Equinor Awards $235,6M in Offshore Vessel Deals

Equinor, a Norwegian oil company, said on Friday that it had recently awarded six offshore vessel contracts to five shipowners. The total value of the contracts, including options, is estimated to be more than NOK 2.5 billion ($235,6 million). The six platform supply vessels will be managed by Simon Møkster Shipping AS (Stril Luna & Stril Mar vessels), Island Offshore Management AS (Island Crusader vessel), Eidesvik AS (Viking Avant vessel), Remøy Shipping AS (Rem Hrist vessel) and P/F Skansi Offshore (Kongsborg vessel).

Norwegian offshore vessel owners Solstad Offshore, Siem Offshore, and Standard Supply have all secured offshore vessel contracts in the past few days.Solstad Offshore on Monday said it had secured a contract for the platform supply vessel Normand Swan in Australia. Solstad Offshore said the contract was for two years and with "a major energy company."The client will have additional extension options. The contract will start in September 2022. Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore has plans to reduce the carbon footprint of its 90 vessel fleet, and has turned to the technology company Wärtsilä for collaboration. "The aim is to achieve a 50 percent reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030. Partnership is seen as being key to finding the right solutions," Solstad said.The agreement aims to identify, evaluate, and implement solutions that will increase fuel efficiency and significantly reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from Solstad’s offshore vessels.

Offshore installation company DEME has agreed to acquire Eidesvik's DP3 offshore installation vessel ‘Viking Neptun’. "Representing a substantial investment, this move highlights DEME’s commitment to its customers, and supports the continued growth of the offshore wind industry. This latest addition to its vessel fleet also confirms DEME’s mission to build future-proof, sustainable and environmentally friendly operations," DEME said.The Viking Neptun currently has a turntable capable of handling 4,500 tonnes of cables below deck.
