With two vessels and a wide array of oceanographic sensors, they continually inspect and report on two waste water outfalls; Point Loma Ocean Outfall (PLOO) near the mouth of San Diego Bay and South Bay Ocean Outfall (SBOO) near the US/Mexico border.
