Skandi Emerald AHTS Set for Petrofac’s Northern Endeavour FPSO Job

Akastor's subsidiary DDW Offshore has secured a contract extension with Petrofac for its AHTS vessel that will be put on the Northern Endeavour FPSO disconnection job offshore Australia.The contract extension follows the original one-year contract Petrofac signed with DDW Offshore for the AHTS vessel Skandi Atlantic back in September 2022.Petrofac has now awarded DDW Offshore a 9-month extension of the existing contract in Australia whereby Skandi Emerald will replace Skandi Atlantic in March 2024.The contract will last until year-end 2024, DDW Offshore informed.Skandi Emerald will continue to

Petrofac Hires AHTS to Assist with Northern Endeavour FPSO Disconnection

Akastor's subsidiary DDW Offshore has won a one-year contract with Petrofac for the AHTS vessel Skandi Atlantic. Cheniere Declares Option for the 5th LNG Carrier from Flex LNG

Flex LNG announced on Friday that Cheniere has declared it option to employ a fifth liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier under a time charter deal announced in April 2021. Golden Ocean Sells Three Panamaxes

Dry bulk shipowner Golden Ocean Group Limited announced on Tuesday it has sold three Panamax vessels to an unnamed buyer for a combined $52 million.The three vessels, Golden Empress, Golden Enterprise and Golden Endeavour, were delivered in 2010 and 2011 and are among the oldest in the Golden Ocean fleet.The company said it expects to record a gain from the sales of approximately $9.6 million in the second quarter of 2022. Long-term Charter: NYK Delivers New LNG Carrier to TotalEnergies

Japanese shipping firm NYK said Thursday it had delivered the LNG carrier LNG Endeavour to TotalEnergies on a long-term charter.The vessel commercially managed by France LNG Shipping, a French ship-owning company jointly owned by NYK and Geogas LNG, was delivered on October 20. The 293 meters long vessel was built by Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea. NYK did not say how long exactly the charter with total would be.The LNG carrier is equipped with a WinGD X-DF diesel engine that can operate on fuel oil or boil-off gas stored in its cargo tank.

Samskip to Run Part of Its Fleet on Biofuel

CWind Sells CTV Endeavour to Wood Marine

CWind, a provider of project services and crew transfer vessels (CTV) to the offshore wind industry, reports it has completed the sale of its CTV Endeavour to Wood Marine, a port services operator based in Suffolk, U.K.According to CWind, part of the Global Marine Group (GMG), the sale the 18.5-meter catamaran with a maximum speed of 27 knots, is part of the company’s plan to remodel its CTV fleet.“We continuously review the composition of our fleet of over 20 CTVs, to actively divest tonnage and upgrade our fleet to suit market requirements.” Joshua Brennan, operations director at CWind.
