Glencore to Send First Spot LNG Cargo to Zhoushan

Global LNG Bunkering Market to Reach USD 8.19bln by 2023

Total Signs Deal to Supply LNG to China's ENN

Total SA has signed an agreement to supply liquefied natural gas to ENN Energy in China, according to a news release on the French energy company's website. The deal is for 0.5 million metric tons of LNG per year for a period of 10 years and will be delivered from the company's facilities. Total didn't specify which projects if would source the product from but it has offtake from Australia's Ichthys project, geographically close to China. The deliveries will be sourced from Total’s global LNG portfolio, and they are expected to begin in 2018 upon completion of ENN’s Zhoushan LNG receiving terminal. “Building partnerships with new LNG buyers, such as ENN in China, allows us to grow our presence in this key LNG market,” said Laurent Vivier, president of Total’s gas division.

Total, ENN Ink 10-year LNG Supply Pact

European oil major Total has agreed to supply 500,000 tonnes a year of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for 10 years to China's privately-run ENN Group, Total said on Thursday. The supplies of the super-chilled natural gas will start in 2018 upon completion of ENN's planned receiving facility near the eastern coastal city of Zhoushan, Total said in a statement on its website. Beijing is freeing up the nation's LNG trade as part of broad reforms that allow private companies to invest in oil and gas exploration as well as pipelines and tank farms, and to engage in importing and exporting. The aim is to help secure supplies while boosting competition and efficiency in an energy sector long dominated by state firms. ENN Group is the parent company of Hong Kong-listed ENN Energy Holdings.

Chevron Mulls LNG Supplies to China

Energy giant Chevron has signed a preliminary agreement with China's ENN LNG Trading company to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) from its $54 billion Gorgon LNG project in Western Australia. Chevron plans to supply a unit of ENN Energy Holdings Ltd. with as much as 500,000 metric tons of LNG a year from Australia's largest gas project, Gorgon. It follows Chevron’s initial agreement in late December to sell as much as 1 million tons of LNG a year to China Huadian Green Energy Co. Chevron Corporation announced that its Australian subsidiaries have signed a non-binding Heads of Agreement (HoA) with ENN LNG Trading Company Limited (ENN) for the delivery of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to China from the Chevron-operated Gorgon natural gas project in Australia. US to Export LNG to China

Buyers from China are looking at long term liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies from US firm Cheniere Energy, news agency Reuters quoted a company official as saying. This would be the first LNG deal between the world's two biggest energy users. Cheniere Energy is set to become the first U.S. LNG exporter, with shipments to start by the end of this year. However, no Chinese companies have signed up for any U.S. LNG cargoes so far. Nicolas Zanen, vice president for Asia at Cheniere Marketing Pte, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cheniere Energy Inc, said that some Chinese buyers had already begun moving to secure supplies, although without providing any details.
